Footpeg lowering kit

Moto Bits doesn't list the Sport kit on the website, but I contacted Brent Prindle, BrentP@MotoBits.com, I ordered a set for my 2000 V11 Sport, the total shipped to my house in NorCal was $353.90 usd. Shipping was $13.50 so the actual cost of the kit was $340. I ordered it on 6/6 so I haven't received it yet. He had 10 kits left when I placed my order, so he has 9 left now.

I actually like where the stock pegs are located, it's great in the twisties, but like most everyone else, at about 150 miles I'm in some pretty good pain. I've had back surgery and some other things done. So I'm very excited to receive the kit and hopefully be able to enjoy longer rides.

I also removed the clip-ons and did the handlebar mod on the bike. The handlebar mod is awesome, add the motobits kit, I should one happy rider.

For those of you with longer inseams, have you seen, or installed, any adapters/kits that will lower the footpegs?

I have seen these forward controls in the MGNOC news letter, I can't vouch for anything about them. But they can be seen here: Motratech.com

The ad says they move the feet 5.5" forward, contact is John@ 973-459-9417, the ad says the price is $450.00. YMMV

I've got the motobit's controls and quite pleased with them.

Here's the link

Finally got the rear wheel bearing spacer sorted when I had a near

miss with a left turning car.

I did manage to miss the car but somehow still ended up sliding

through the intersection on the right side taking out the turn signal,

mirror and the cool Moto Bits foot controls.

Brent (at Moto-bits) commented that the plate that mounts the controls

had bent before the forces got large enough to break the "pork chop"

frame casting which would be much more expensive to replace.

Brent's got a replacement foot control set on the way and Larry Cline

has got the turn signal and plug cap.

He's got a line on a mirror but it's $90 so I'm looking for a more

affordable one.

Here's the "after" picture of the brake lever.

Note that the peg kept the exhaust from hitting the pavement.

Invisible picture? :huh2:

Maybe post a wanted in the classifieds for someone who has swapped out for bar end mirrors.
