Fourteenth South'n Spine Raid 2018

Recommended Posts

I’ll be there on Wednesday night after a wandering ride on minor roads. A few days riding in the Tellico area before everybody arrives.

Thanks for the ‘dry’ county reminder. So un civilized

Docc, when are you getting in to put up the bunting ?

The mid-Tennessee SpineRaiders will roll in Friday afternoon after our usual romp across the Cumberland Plateau and Walden Ridge. I have a new bypass around Decatur and Athens to try out. I detest riding through little towns. My alternate routes are (usually) (mostly) paved and (almost) never have a creek crossing or mining road in the mix.

Actually, I really like riding through little towns.

Big ones ... not so much.

My friend Bill and I will be rolling in Thursday eve by truck and trailer. We'll bring assorted stuff, tools, firewood, beer, maybe a valve cover gasket... any requests?

Looks like you've got this (beer)  covered!  :bier:

Don't forget the tools! :luigi: :luigi: :luigi:  (and box fans!)

I thought they had "white" lightnin' in Tenn ?

Oh, they do, as elsewhere, but the revenooers frown on its sale, so one has to be careful.

Remember that line from Rocky Top ...

"One time two strangers climbed 'ol Rocky Top

Looking for a moonshine still

Strangers ain't come down from 'ol Rocky Top

Reckon they never will"

So, better bring your own corn in a jar.
