Fresh off the trailer. Cleaned it up a bit and took it for a ride this morning with my cousin. One kick when cold. Just little cosmetic things to do. Maybe some new shocks as these are the original ones. She'll get a little tarted up. Goes like stink.

I'm with LowRyter. There is nothing like the original V11 Sport Green. It is not the 70s V7 Sport Green, not the "Carcano" /Tenni green, not the modern V7 green. It is a thing of of its own. Elusive, enticing, entrancing. I mean, look at how it has affected otherwise sane and sensible folk . . .

So here's my attempt to minimise any chance of cracking on the L/H mount. I've Radiused the sharp edge on the casting without reducing the thin section of the casing. This should help. I think the other side is the primary problem area. I need to get my friend who is highly experienced in these sort of repairs to weld the other side. The process is to chase out the crack entirely which I've done, pre-heat the case so its nice and hot and then make several small welds to fill the area and add some extra material. The welds will be peened in between each weld run while the material is still soft to reduce/correct any distortion of the end plate face. If necessary he'll re machine the end plate face. Ciao

The only ones I've seen are the 1100 Sport-based ones. They usually have a spot at the top of the pits at the Barber Vintage Festival. But it was only a matter of time until they made a V11 Sport one.
