I had to strip a black painted triple clamp when I converted to handlebars. Pull the triple and strip the paint, starting with a chemical stripper, then using a gentle blast media. I had a friend do it who has a blast cabinet. Polish it, then clear coat. Before and after:

Finally got rid of the crappy stock brake rotors. New T-drive Brembos with Braking pads. This combo should be smooth as glass and one finger braking...mostly lol Looking at the stockers, the Galfer green pads didn't love them, either. Pulsing, jerky, pull-to-one-side, inconsistent lever bastages. Can't wait to try these out, maybe tomorrow.

LEDs get dim when they get too hot. Efficient cooling of high output LEDs is a rather tricky job and divides Osram from the China cheapos for instance. So your bulb obviously was a China cheapo, running the single LEDs way too hot. That's no problem when it was five USD, question is how good are the 200,- USD units coming from China in the same container

Czakky- don't feel bad. Took my LeMans out for a nice ride Friday up here at our place in North Georgia. Weather was cool and sunny, leaves changing colors, beautiful ride and the bike ran great. But, they are NOT the ideal bike for gravel roads. Recently bought a klx250. Out on it Saturday and stopped to ask directions from a local. Granted the road was on a slight incline and was slightly lower to my right side. 31" inseam and 33" seat height resulted in a rather embarrassing incident. Glad it wasn't the LM but still felt like a dumba$$ for dropping a little 250cc bike at a standstill. At least I provided entertainment for the local.😎😎

Yes, that is an aluminum triple clamp that was painted silver. You can chemically strip it, or you can use media blasting. Then either paint it silver, or black, or clear coat it. If you left it raw aluminum it would tend to corrode. Aluminum is funny when it corrodes, it doesn't rust but it does get a hazy grey corrosion.

My two scooters are a Suzuki DR650 and a Guzzi V11 Sport. Both have the turn signal and horn actuators on the left grip module, but the positions are reversed. Has resulted in some problematic situations when I forget the difference and try to operate the Guzzi turn signal with Suzuki muscle memory.
