From the pictures provided there’s nothing to indicate that the HyperPro is mounted any differently than the stock dampener. I’m not sure what you are seeing that would suggest otherwise.

I’m seeing zero difference between the Shindy mount and the Hyperpro mount. Each have two spherical bearings in the same location. What am I missing?

The good news is the power wires to the coils are marked. Which is nice if you know Italian or are handy with Google Translate. Actually my friend’s wife spent time in Italy and we could have asked her too. He had replaced the TPS screws and could have easily bumped it too. Regardless, it now sounds amazing. He’s got the FbF mufflers and a Power Commander.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner! It was the ignition coil supply leads! Pretty sure the misadjusted TPS (it wasn’t right before I screwed it up) didn’t help. It sounds spectacular!

Can you update the Decent Tune Up post to say that you have to turn the ignition on for the test. I know it should be apparent but…

Thanks! Google Translate helped us too. Which leads us to believe the wires were actually crossed! The one thing I didn’t trust is if the Italians to map stuff while sitting on the bikes. 😜

Anyone remember which coil wire goes to which coil? SX and OX? The workshop manual is a copy and doesn’t have the legend.

We’re pulling the tank to recheck the wiring. He did mark the injector plugs (yet to be determined if it was before or after removing) so that’s something. But I’m really curious about the ignition coils. His goal was to tidy the wiring and it might be a little too tidy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, was also told the timing sensor was removed and o-ring was replaced. Took sensor off and measured. I got .7mm which appears to be spec.

Where do you get that tool? Let me guess, it’s called a cam sensor gauge?

Ok, checked the air bypass screws, set to one turn out. Took bike back outside and tried to start it. Won’t start but the really loud backfire is gone. Now it’s a poof not a pop. Seems like we’re moving in the right direction. Just not there all the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The TPS screws were replaced and although he said he was super careful we are checking the TPS settings. Stay tuned.
