  1. Which was the point of the video, to stress test the plastic. Not to optimize the process.
  2. Maybe watch it and see if an old dog can learn something new.
  3. This is an interesting option. It looks horrible. I wonder how long those welds will hold up. https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_info.php?language=sc&products_id=4940
  4. Did you actually watch the video? Remember a die only needs to survive as long as your production is. If you are making dozen units do you want to over-invest in dies? If you are making 10k then no, they will not last. While I could just get the stock one I think we've proven that the stock part isn't always the best.
  5. This was just my first draft and no it doesn't look great. It's flimsy but it works. I'd like to see what else people have done.
  6. You should be way more concerned about that cast metal side stand. Neither the sheet metal or bent wire will do much to you.
  7. So I have been waiting and this is the perfect year, Italian bikes will be featured and lo and behold by Greenie is vintage eligible. The OVM has a 20 year old rule! It's going to freak out some of the old guys to see such a modern looking bike. It will be worth the $20. Stay tuned for more news. My friend George is building the Ducati on the poster (yeah, he made the poster so he gets to pick the bike on the poster too...) and it looks spectacular. Normally there aren't a lot of Italian bikes so hopefully a few turn up. Here's a video from the last time I went. Of course I couldn't show the bike then. But now I can!
  8. How is this near your achilles? Do you have highway pegs on your V11?
  9. It looks like the correct description is: https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=73&products_id=5546 SIDE STAND DEPLOYMENT LOOP Almost $30. Am I correct these break a lot? It wouldn't be hard to design something way better. 3D print up some dies and press a few.
  10. Not the orange drink, the wire thing that sticks out and breaks. Or at least mine did. So I whipped up a prototype. It's probably too thin but I'll see how long it lasts.
  11. If you can afford a Egli Black Shadow you don't daily drive. You ride whenever you want to. Aerial shots courtesy of a DJI Mavic Air 2.
  12. They can but it's more likely there was an operator you can't see. Link to the video?
  13. Ok, I know it's a Norton video but when was the last time you saw two V11 Sports in one video? Colin has a great Scura. Bought it new from Moto International. Last time I checked it had 60k miles on the original clutch. For an added bonus there's an 850 LeMans too. And how many of you know what an Egli is?
  14. For some reason little bikes like a Cub draw a crowd.
  15. Somehow they managed to hold The One Show this year despite all of the restrictions. Limited crowds just meant you had more room to look at bikes. My brother and I were analyzing the Cafe Sport and got to talk to the owner. He lives south of Portland (I have a feeling there were more local bikes than usual this year). He said the bike was quite corroded when he got it (I assume it came from the coast) and he took it apart. Well, he did a damn fine job putting it back together. I need to find an abandoned Cafe Sport just to steal the suspension off it. I hope he sees this post and provides more details. I'll post a few photos and then provide a link to the photo dump. https://imgur.com/gallery/jfYuuar
  16. That just means you spend more on Guzzi parts than your laptop.
  17. Mike does an incredible job putting out the videos. There is a wide variety of bikes presented so if you like interesting motorcycles you should subscribe. I can guarantee more Guzzi content.
  18. I'm neither Norwegian nor thunderous.
  19. If I posted this before I apologize. I tried to search for it. Last year my buddy Mike did a series of interviews at his cul de sac during the pandemic. It was extremely popular and this was one of my contributions.
