  1. Yes, it was. The guy apparently wasn't the most tech savvy so the ad was a little, ahem, sparse. And half in Spanish. I'm sure that threw off plenty of buyers. Not like there are a lot of buyers for a V11 Sport and not during these restrictions.
  2. Which price are you referring to?
  3. There are only two things I trust in the rain, my Aerostitch and my BMW condom. Of course you sweat to death in the BMW outfit so it's like it's raining on the inside of the suit, which mitigates and benefit from the rain getting in...
  4. This is a 2004, what year did they resolve the engine paint?
  5. Depends on which dealer you go to. Also where in this country you are.
  6. That's the asking price and at a dealer. And it's in a language I can't read. Obviously going to be expensive.
  7. $7k seems a bit much, maybe over there. $7k will get you a really, really nice Scura. Maybe a Coppa. But a Cafe Sport?
  8. Back in February my brother came out for The One Show and despite it being a bit "brisk" we got out for a little ride. It was his first time on a V11 Sport. He didn't mind it. Fast forward to yesterday... He and a buddy went down to SC (not too far away) and snagged this thing. It wasn't expensive. Apparently the owner got some Italian lust and had to have it. Kept the bike inside the house. The master of the house (wife) wasn't too please with the new mistress and made him sell it. Very low miles. Engine paint is, of course, not good. The rest looks nice. Some sweet bits on those models. Olins and carbon everywhere! Not bad for not being green.
  9. Your Aerostitch jacket wasn't waterproof? Of course after 20 years the material won't remain waterproof.
  10. I'm wondering how prevalent the Roper Plates really are? I don't have a poll option if you have more than one V11 Sport and not all of them have plates.
  11. It might depend on what you consider "overseas".
  12. I don't think Italian bike owners should throw stones at Brit bike owners. Tales of woe on each side are epic.
  13. I have some Alpinestar boots. Waterproof (although I’m not sure if I’ve tested them) and very comfortable. And reasonably priced. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-roam-2-wp-boots
  14. The build quality on the new Triumphs is outstanding. Heck the reliability is also outstanding. You should pop over to a Triumph dealer and take a look.
  15. I thought it would look worse with the spoked wheels. It's actually not that bad. Would I do it? No, just not worth the expense.
  16. I'm not sure I've even seen a crash bar on a V11 Sport.
  17. <looks in garage> I wonder what that says about me?
  18. I recall (and we know how questionable that is) visiting the distributor at sometime maybe in the 90s. They were in North Carolina. I suspect I have photos of Benellis and Laverdas and probably some Guzzis. I wonder where those photos are.
  19. Inappropriate? Probably. Accurate? Definitely.
  20. $14k-ish. There's a guy locally who was trying to sell one for something like $15k. I could have swore I heard about other ones. Edit: I was a bit off. I found the old thread and it was $11k and the range seemed to be 7-9k for one. I swear I'm losing it.
  21. Post pics. I'm especially interested in the "custom modifications" the PO did.
  22. For your kids to auction off at a pittance? I know I am going to ask for a rotisserie coffin to make the spinning easier.
