  1. These are off my 2001 V11 Sport. They are not perfect but are perfectly serviceable. One muffler has a pretty good scrape. $75 or best offer. Can get reasonable shipping rates in the US.
  2. I’m going to sell my stock Lafronconis. Cheap. Shipping will be the bad part.
  3. If they match side to side consider that a win and move on.
  4. It’s like I’m all grown up now. Now I need to find something to hit with it.
  5. Wasn’t that on a Breva or something over on WildGuzzi? I think it would have been less hassle to move to a less humid climate.
  6. If they are just sealed up there’s always some water vapor trapped inside. What you need is a vacuum or inert gas but as you can imagine that’s overkill. Except for this forum.
  7. I checked the sticker while installing the Roper Plate. It was on solid. No worries.
  8. I’m still trying to get over the rusty star picket. Not sure, nay, quite confident I don’t want to see or know about the podge bar!
  9. I need to get a brass drift one of these days.
  10. I'm not saying this group can go off topic easily but...
  11. Good question! I got distracted by trying to hold the plate and two gaskets and put everything up and get a couple screws started that I forgot to film it. Plus it looked ungainly! I went to file the hole a little larger but then decided to try it and since I had removed the large bolt I could get the smaller one started and then the larger one. No problems. But you can't just refit the smaller bolt without loosening or removing the large bolt. I can't remember all the different thicknesses. There is no doubt this Stainless Steel plate is sufficient.
  12. Phew, I thought you were going to say
  13. So here's the installation video for the preproduction plate. The fit was excellent. Obviously this was the first time I installed one of these plates. It took me a couple minutes to figure out how to remove the oil filter assembly. Cleaning the gasket surfaces probably took the most time (aside from all the filming). With this plate you don't need to make any modifications to the side stand bracket. Just loosen the large bolt onto the crankshaft, install the smaller M6 bolt and then go back and tighten the large bolt. Same with the plate, I had to have the plate loose in order to install the oil filter assembly. It was relatively easy to do, just take your time. Upper Gaskets (two required): http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=34 Oil Pan Gasket (one required): http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=33 Hopefully we'll have an update on the production plates soon.
  14. Gaskets got here. Going at it tonight. I think they either sent me an extra oil pan gasket or I ordered too many. This should be enough for two bikes. I’m pretty sure someone posted how to install the plate in the past. I just can’t remember where.
  15. I've only changed my oil once and I can't remember what the bolt on the right of the drain is for? I'll find out tomorrow when I drop the pan and I'm too lazy to look it up. Anyone want to humor me?
  16. Like most projects it's 90% perseverance and 10% figuring out how to get someone else to do the work.
  17. Sorry for the lack of news. But it will be worth the wait. I just received a pre-production sample and as soon as I get my gaskets (already ordered from MG Cycle) I'll fit it and let everyone know how it goes on. While I don't expect any issues I'm sure you'd rather have me be the tester than you. Getting the plates engraved is still being worked on. While I'm sure everyone would like this engraved on their plate you will be getting something different. I know I've said this many times, but it will be worth the wait.
  18. If you just put their spare spring it then it will break again. You have to resolve the issue or you will keep breaking springs.
  19. Massive weight drop? Throttle bodies weigh the same or less than carbs. Fuel pumps aren’t that heavy. Where else you getting the loss?
  20. I’m lucky the driveway isn’t steeper. It’s already more than what I like. I’m not sure I could push the V11 Sport up it.
  21. Because of the low production numbers for any V11 Sport compared to most other bikes they all seem rare. Like it or not the Greenie isn't rare but it's the most iconic and most recognizable V11 Sport, hands down. It's the one that was always displayed in the magazines and any propaganda. I'm now getting tired of saying this but here it goes, rare does not equal value. Desirability = value. So those limited production run V11s aren't valuable unless they are desirable to someone. For some reason the most desirable thing about a Guzzi is how it rides and that's the one thing you can't describe to someone unless they have ridden one. That's one of the things that keeps Guzzi from selling more even today. But there is always the buyer who buys on only one thing, condition. And they will always pay the most.
  22. That's good because if you cheat on an English vehicle there will be repercussions.
  23. Forgive me, Father, I can't recall the last time I rode my Greenie. I've gotten distracted with other toys. The Norton Commando Interstate got here and I've been riding it. The 750 Commando started up after an engine rebuild. I'm just about done fitting the fairing and it'll go out for some break-in rides. And I just traded by Corvette for a new project (emphasis: PROJECT) But I am keeping the Greenie on the charger just in case!
