  1. once I rode a Centauro, I went with Guzzi. I understand the ST3 is the best of the lot. Oh, BTW Scud.. back in the day, I made a billet setup to put conventional bars on the ST2-3-4 bikes, so if you want to put apes on it, I'm your man. You did that Chuck? Sweet! Due to Ducati being Ducati lots of parts from many other bikes work on it. I put conventional bars on mine by simply replacing the top triple with one from a monster. Fun times.
  2. They are great bikes. Had an ST2 the predecessor to your ST3. Great all around machine. Still miss it Super basic as well. Easy to work on once you get the fairing taken off... which is 6000 screws. Clutch slave is a common fail point. Head over to Ducati.ms and the ST sub forum. Good group in there when I was on one.

We have to go slower because everyone is looking at us. Staring and pointing is not positive feedback

All I know is that the greenies are slower. Poor greenies...
  8. Ah nice snag! I posted that ad here Looks like a great bike!
  9. Whatever you want to do we will have fun watching it! Perhaps if track days are in your future take a look for an Aprilia. Gen 1 RSV... Tuono Racing, maybe even a Falco RSVR if you enjoy the position... lol. Which I did not, for street riding anyway. Ducati 749, 998... 999... 848 Could be fun. Have seen guys track ST4s as well. Legendary 4 valve motor in those ones, Ohlins and Forged Machesinis. Some consider it the best sport touring bike ever. Anyway... I am certainly curious to the next one you add.
  10. Example https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rch/mcy/d/2001-ducati-supersport-750/6349339402.html This one has been on the market for over 60 days. Price seems reasonable. 2200 miles is low. Doesn't sell. But these... oh these are pretty things https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/mcy/d/ducati-900-ss-sp-collector/6360605374.html However... save for one of these https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/mcy/d/2007-ducati-sport-1000-onlykm/6379011717.html
  11. At least it's better looking that this travesty. Nope. I would prefer this. Seriously
  12. Having come from the Ducati fold myself those are the red headed stepchild of the Ducati line. Not overly good looking. Not overly great to ride. Pretty terrible riding position. So so reliability. Slow seller that tends to be cheap for a reason. Now.. find an earlier 900ss/sp. Thats worth talking about. If you are intent on it be sure you have belts and valve maintenance records.

  14. gosh... i want the Morini!!! And that Ducati 500 Sport.
  15. Interesting notices: Cant see any plug wires... edit: Now i see them. They have a fancy black cover on them and route around the front. Interesting. I didnt see the MG logo in the headlights at first. I like that! Judging by the shock mounted on the right side and not inboard it would seem that this bad boy may have a pretty large fuel tank. Cable actuated clutch Tank is very wide at its angled lower section. Is that an air intake on the side of the tank at the front? Interesting. Ohlins all around. Doesn't look like the rear is adaptive. Perhaps the front is. I see no adjustments on the top of the front forks. edit. I see cruise control button on the left and ride modes on the right. fun!
  16. Surprise... more v7 variants. sigh. https://www.motorcycle-magazine.com/moto-guzzi-v7-iii-carbon-rough-milano/ v85 Adventure Bike and new engine. https://www.motorcycle-magazine.com/moto-guzzi-v85/
  17. If they only release v7 variants... I will be annoyed. We get it... scrambler... special... blah blah. Excite me! I want a future guzzi to dream about to add to the stable one day.
  18. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/d/2003-moto-guzzi-lemans-v11/6371325306.html Lemans... some story on the rear wheel it seems.
  19. Well Ducati crushed it. Let's hope we see something awesome. Waiting....
  20. Use bumper and automotive door seal restorer on it. It will return it to black. You will have do repeat the process on occasion but it will definitely help.

  22. I like the idea of consistent delivery. That makes sense to me.
  23. Goodness, I hate it when I'm definitely completely overboard! I hope that's a forgivable offense. If not, I will leave quietly. I also don't understand how airbox removal would make it run rich, but I have never played with an airboxless V11. Just speaking from experiences with many bikes with major airbox mods or removal, often they run so lean as to not be rideable at all. Luhbo, I don't doubt your experience on this, just don't understand it. Is it because the filters are placed right on the throttle bodies and you lose the ram effect of the long intake tubes? And I did say might! There is marginal ram air effect from the airbox. The air path is crazy convoluted. Ever see a guzzi race bike with an airbox? I think that if you simply take a stock bike and throw pods on it you will have an issue. However if you tune for the change using guzzi diag or in the case of carbs re jet... you can over come many of the "issues". I believe most people do not do that however because they likely lack the knowledge to do so. Those are my thoughts anyway.
  24. Ya but then you are stuck with green......
