  1. Mike search on "SIGMA" in the forum.. I put a CatEye on my kawa Concours and the dang thing would reset about 65-70mph.. I switched to SIGMA The SIGMA is good "to infinity and beyond" as Buzz Lightyear would say.. Cheers, Tim
  2. I wouldn't worry about a little debris during the test... Hell, some central valley guys I know throw their Guzzi's over a cliff, let 'em cartwheel 100ft, yank them back up by a towtruck, then ride 350 miles on it the next day... What's a little road debris !!!
  3. Hey, no offense intended !! So if I ride down on Sunday and buy a ticket at the gate will I be able to drive into the area around turn 5/6 ??? I hate shuttle buses
  4. c'mon man.. pink is so yesterday. Fuscia baby.. gotta wear fuscia tutus... only central valley guys wear pink..... geez.
  5. ditto.. my Stucchi & Staintunes... the x-over is very close on the left side, but more space on the right.. will check to see if its actually rubbing. cheers, Tim
  6. Tom Bummer ! Clearly you're as tough as the Guzzi ! The mere sight of gravel on a blind corner loosens my bowels.. I'm impressed that you were able to ajdust and not fixate on the target... Glad to see you emerged unscathed with a hella story ... oh.. and I'm retracting my offer to let you ride the Tuono...
  7. its the naked Italian babes !!!!!!
  8. thx.. let's try this...
  9. alas, you're not going to get a chance to see these two Italian babes washing my bike... wearing only strategically placed bits of suds.....
  10. having problems uploading a photo.. just testing to see if I can post without one.. edit: Hey Jaap.. I'm trying to upload a photo of the V11.. I can browse and select the photo, then hit the add attachment.. The msg at the lower left of the screen says "Sending request to v11lemans.com"... then says "done".. but then I can't select the "submit post" or the "submit modified post" button.. Any thoughts? Thanks, Tim
  11. dunno... I have both !!! I am a recovering bike shopaholic ! Of your 4, I'd scrap the Triumph.. but that's personal style.. I really like the Speed Triple and the Thruxton. You'll probably want to think about whatever is easiest on the broken wrist.. that'll take a couple of years to be fully right, and even longer if you go the clip on route with your next bike.. Personally? I saw the MV Agusta Brutale in grey w/ red frame at MunroeMotors in San Fran and am in LOVE.. woo hoo Good luck mending !
  12. my Tuono is a vietnamese ice coffee .. the sweetness of the condensed millk masks the lethal amount of caffeine that'll keep you buzzing for hours and hours..

I'm not a fan of the OCC chopper stuff either.. I prefer my bikes to be functional.. however, I do occasionally think about building one myself, and this site has a pretty neat and affordable "kit"... http://www.sinwear.us/SPSRollers.html
  14. and in this Zirk modified photo we have evidence of the killer vulture ...
  15. ah yes, the vultures.... Mark.. sounds good. the ride last year was great. I'll check the home chore list and update if I can attend on Sunday. Thanks, Tim
  16. Hey Todd I'll be there on Sunday.. will look for ya Cheers, Tim
  17. LOL... love is fleeting ain't it ! True on the Maryland poster.. I guess a lot of Stalinist painters needed work after the fall of the Soviet system.. makes me want to go out and rent "1984" ...
  18. Hey Tom When I installed the stucchi, I fired up the bike and could hear/sense more air flowing through the pipes, smoother idle etc.. I know, no test equipment, just a sense. In driving, its definitely smoother, and a little more mid range. All completely subjective with the objective exception that my hands weren't completely numb within 5 minutes.. I guess I rode almost 400 miles last Sunday ?? With regards to my 2nd neutral.. it seems to be more common to find a new neutral between 2nd and 3rd.. Almost like its going past 3rd actually, because when I re-shift out of that neutral I think I'm in 4th.. Go figure.. Anyway, the Goose has been resting since Sunday.. Ive been commuting on the big loud red machine. Cheers, Tim
  19. Hey... great ride.. thanks for setting it up Mark.. and Hal's new Coppa is sweet... I'd installed the Stucchi prior to coming on the ride, and I must say it makes the bike feel a lot better. Surprising how much of a difference. The ride back up 101 was horrible of course.. just like the last time we did the Hwy 25 ride. Very windy, and I'd forgotten to drink as much water as I should have so I was getting pretty dehydrated and punchy by the time I made it home.. which was too early as I still had daylight left so I had no excuse to not finish painting the deck !!! Thanks again, and great to see all the riders from all over California ! Cheers, Tim
  20. Agree.. did the same thing last year.. then test drove the Tuono and bought it instead. The Buell is like crack..
  21. Fly4Hire I've got the Guzzi tankbag, which unzips and turns into a backpack.. I use it for commuting, and it holds my Thinkpad and other stuff pretty well.. When I get to the office, I just unzip it from the base, pop out the straps and fling it over my shoulder. I have a bigger FAMSA tankbag on my Tuono, and it also converts into a backpack. I think riding with a backpack is a PITA. Cheers, Tim
  22. well if you've just come out of the bar..... wrap your lips around the valve stem, depress the valve with your tongue.. If your face blows up like Dizzy Gillespie then there's probably enough pressure to get you home... Not that I've ever tried this of course... I just know people.. Cheers.Tim
  23. Cool ! now I have a second reason to visit Baku !
  24. I'll probably leave Danville just before 7, which would put me into Hollister around 8:00... give us time for coffee, gas etc before leaving at 8:45. Let me know where you'll be having breakfast. Cheers, Tim
