  1. Hi Bruce, Can you tell a bit more about that "Evoluzione" thingie, as I also hate to be left in the dark? Is it something that you get at the local gas station or do you have to go somewhere else? I've also tried to adjust the low beam but Danish car drivers don't seem to appreciate my efforts Alternatively I have some plans about changing to Xenon lights as I have on my Ford Mondeo, but it's expensive, unfortunately. Keep the sticky side of the tyres down! Søren Tikkanen, Denmark
  2. Hi Mr. Apex, I did a 500 miles (800km) trip in one day on my Scura and beside piss poor weather conditions (heavy rain and gail winds) and a broken transmission spring, which left the bike in fourth gear for approx. 200 miles, everything went fine I wasn't knackered by any means so on yer bike mate! Have a nice 'un Søren Tikkanen, Denmark
  3. Hi there! I can only say 'aye' to all what Paul has stated. The clutch rattles like two skeletons shaggin' on a tin roof, but the gearshift itself is smooth. The rattling sound is annoying when stooping for a red light; it sounds like a badly maintained engine and I feel everybody is looking. In general the Scura is NOT made for commuting in town; it doesn't run well under those circumstances. But when you hit the open roads....... Best regards Søren Tikkanen, Denmark
  4. Spending at least two hours a day on the raod commuting to and from work (110 kms/70 miles) there's is one thing that I miss: A clock! I have plans about fitting a cheap bicycle watch, i.e. ciclosport, VDO etc. (yes, I used to be a fairly competitive bicycle road racer) on the dash board as the Scura one's are all rubber mounted. Any other ideas, hints or..???? Thanks in advance Søren Tikkanen, Denmark

Hi Stefan, Check out this link: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2905 The subject has been up in the air several times, but this is the latest link I know of. Good luck with your Gooser! Ha det bra Søren Tikkanen, Denmark
  6. Hi Steve, They are running an ad in the Danish Guzzi club magazine for a battery called "Genesis". According to the ad (haven't got any info whether it's a load of or it's really true) the battery is a closed, sealed type with enough power to replace a 32 amp with a 16 amp , requires no service at all, can be mounted vertically or horizontally and what have you. Anybody out there who has tried this eight wonder?? Søren Tikkanen, Denmark

    Best helmet?

Arai and nothing else! This helmet rocks - no fog, good ventilation, snug fit - buy it!
  8. Speaking of the devil......... I just did a 800 km (500 miles) trip to the western part of Denmark. On the return trip my gearbox decided that 4th gear was enough for me! I begged, jumped, hopped, pleased, yanked but to no avail - the bloody thing is stucked in fourth gear. Luckily it's still under warranty but to be quite honest I'm not too impressed about this - the bike has only been in my custody for a month and I've only covered 2000 km on it! Shame on you Guzzi! You have more then 80 years of experience and still flaws like this occur. Søren not-so-happy-and-a-bit-p***** off Tikkanen, Denmark PS: Just got my LeMans fairing on - looks awesome. Pics will be posted as soon as possible (I'm a complete jerk when it comes to computers and technique)
  9. Thanks Al, all info is highly appreciated!
  10. Having just covered 1000 kms on my Scura (#580) the future doesn't seem too bright, unfortunately The only hick-ups I have noted so far is the distinguished rattle when the engine is iddling. Furthermore, my Scura is not to happy when driving in the city; it seems like a fuel injection problem. On three occassions the engine has let me down when stopping for a red light downtown Copenhagen. Normal behaviour for a Guzzi or shall I raise hell at the dealer? Thanks in advance. 11. Just spent a week in Rome, Italy and the movie clip might as well been shot there. Those scooter and motorcycle riders down there drive like madmen/women on crack! If you tried to get away with the same stunts up here in Denmark you would face the electric chair. Personally I think stunts like that belong on a race track but I'm probably just a boring old fart without a death wish..... Keep the sticky side of the tyres down! Søren Tikkanen, Scura #580 Denmark
