  1. ...or you are a mile ahead of the pack:) Rumble in the jungle.
  2. Beautiful cans!! You lucky bastard... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hmmm... I really have to reconsider my 20-year-old Sachs shock. The wheel is off so it’s the right time. I have no idea if Norwegian dealers have the right shock in stock - and I don’t know what to look for. Wilbers?
  4. My ignition switch had just been replaced when I bought the Greenie. Is it a common weakness? Wish for a speedy recovery to the Rosso! Summer is long, Tom.
  5. Best Greenie video on YouTube. Watched it twice. «Norwegian thunder mufflers» haha!
  6. I've just watched both videos, Phil. I understand the basics about getting the same speed on input and output but have no idea about relating this to actual adjustments on the Greenie. I guess I'm dumb. EDIT Second thought: Correct line-up = the front cross and rear cross are in the same position? EDIT2 @Baldini confirms my second thought. There is so much information and knowledge in here, fragmented bits of information;)
  7. Thanks for the reminder, Tom. There’s two marks with white paint(from factory?) indicating it’s lined up. How could I know for sure? I guess I need an adjustable angle grease gun to access the front u-joint? Found this post from [mention]GuzziEagle [/mention]and believe it’s still relevant: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/17052-greasing-front-u-joint-revisited/&do=findComment&comment=183442 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Tomorrow I hope to get the rear wheel back on. Roller bearing seems okay. Cleaning and greasing the wheel spindle, roller bearing and spacers. Changing the gear oil. Other things to consider? What I have done so far: Oil Pan is glass bead blasted, painted and back in place. New gasket, oil filter, and bolts. New rear tyre. Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT. New NGK spark plugs. All relays are replaced with Omrons. Relay block is cleaned with electro cleaner. The spliced and old breather pipe from crankcase are replaced. The rusty battery holder is re-mounted after sanding and painting. Burned 30A fuse/fuse-holder replaced with Tyco 30A breaker. The unoriginal and stiff intake rubbers are replaced. Fuel filter and fuel hoses are replaced. Throttle bodies are cleaned and re-mounted. Partly cleaned in my ultrasonic cleaner with kerosene and manually with brake cleaner. The defective electric petcock is replaced with a manual type. External ground (1,5mm2) to voltage regulator is replaced with new (10mm2/7 AWG) New 5AWG/16mm2 wire to starter motor. Gear selector return spring is replaced. Sealing around the gear selector shaft and all bolts is replaced as well. Those yellow and loose bullet connectors from stator is removed. Wires I as oldered and put inside a glue lined heat shrink tube. Ready for WW3. Still haven't decided about air filter box vs. new, big K&N's.
  9. Gear selector side cover remounted. New sealing and the reinforced pawl spring from @Chuck and @Scud is in place. Summer is just around the corner. More from the service is posted in the «Re-engineering the Shift Spring»-thread: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20201-re-engineering-the-shift-spring/&do=findComment&comment=251975
  10. Neither do I, but I’m going to the nearest town and try to find a replacement seal. One less concern. I have plenty enough. Thanks for sharing such a sad story. Someday you’ll find a 100% proofed Greenie
  11. Thanks, Chuck! I will set the gearbox in neutral and try to enter the side cover back on. Good to hear I can’t assemble it wrong... [emoji4] I’m thinking about replacing the seal around gear level shaft. Anyone had a leak from it?
  12. The new and reinforced spring from @Chuck and @Scud in place. The old one has another geometry. Must be compressed? A pretty straightforward task, except for the placement of selector gears when re-mounting... I didn't note what gear it was in when tearing down the gear cover. I think it was in 1st, but I moved the gear level pedal when I took it off and accindentally changed gear. Can I see it from this photo?
  13. It's gonna be rain tomorrow, so finally time to replace the gear change pawl spring. Not sure if this guide has been posted here, but it looks good to me: https://sites.google.com/site/motoguzziv11rossocorsa/home/gearbox-pre-selector-spring Thanks for the springs, Scudder!
  14. Yes, I was. Did you? As you can read from the description on the Flickr page: «Heating and careful work with a hammer and an old screwdriver made it happen.» Throttle bodies, stabilizer rods, and new hoses are remounted, but Greenie is still in the basement... I'm building a new motorcycle workshop these days. Busy as hell. Rain tomorrow = replace gear change pawl spring.
  15. Heat’n’hammer:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hard rain in Norway all this weekend, how about Sweden? Have you installed the new spring? I have plans to replace the spring myself... I have so many plans[emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I can't recall for sure, but I think you can loosen the airbox boots first, and push them inwards to the airbox. If so, there should be space enough to pull the TB's out of the boots on the cylinder. If not, you may have to remove the airbox. I did that. I guess users with much more experience than me would chime in.
  18. I’ve just replaced all four boots with no special treatment. A small amount of silicone grease or green soap wouldn’t harm. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I absolutely love those mirrors[emoji1] Norton looks gorgeous! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks, I will do that. I no longer have an electric petcock, so no need for it. If it’s the wiring to the fuel level sensor, I can trace it to the 12-way AMP-connector in the instrument panel, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yes of course! It has to be air box sensor. Forgot about that. I clean every connector with electro cleaner. The fuel level connector hasn’t been used for a while obviously, so it’s very dirty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Too many connectors and bad memory? I'm not sure where those connectors should be... Can't find yellow/white+black wiring in Carl Allison's wiring diagram. From Carl's diagram the fuel level switch is wired with grey/white. The electric petcock(or fuel solenoid valve) should be yellow/blue. None of them was functional on my V11.
  23. Thanks for the compassion, friends. I appreciate your kind words. Yes, I'm very eager to take «miss greenie» for a trip, so I have to get her up soon. Here's my project status list: Oil Pan is glass bead blasted, painted and back in place. New gasket, oil filter, and bolts. The battery holder had some rusty spots. Sanded, painted and ready to be mounted. Burned 30A fuse/fuse-holder replaced with Tyco 30A breaker. The unoriginal and stiff intake rubbers are replaced. Fuel filter and fuel hoses are replaced. Throttle bodies are cleaned and mounted. Partly cleaned in my ultrasonic cleaner with kerosene and manually with brake cleaner. The defective electric petcock is replaced with a manual type. External ground (1,5mm2) to voltage regulator is replaced with new (10mm2/7 AWG) https://www.flickr.com/photos/hammershaug/albums/72157714007221726/page2 Haven't decided about replacing the pawl spring now, or after season. Haven't decided to put back the air filter box or the new, big K&N's. Yes, I know, the warning... but I like it that way;)
  24. Hello guys! There has been another delay in my project due to the passing of my father. We lost him May 17th, our national day. He had suffered from Alzheimer's disease since 2013, and I sat with him when he died. Because of that all my time has gone with the funeral and supporting my mum. I have lost my wife, my father in law, my uncle and my father in 2,5 years. Sick and tired of death. Anyway, the Greenie is in good health! I hope to lift her out of the basement soon. Yes, @docc it's about time, and I will of course post a mirror image
  25. Proper grounding to the voltage regulator, but not happy with copper-aluminum connection. I guess some white Vaseline will do good. Feinschmecker wire to starter motor. Phoenix Gold 5 AWG (16mm2) Next up: Fuses! A new Tyco 30A breaker will replace my burned fuse.
