  1. You guys all rule i have to drop the bike by mark etheridge before i can take it for inspeciton anyways so maybe he can think of something. I just want the mileage to accurately reflect what i actually have on the bike. As for the emissions sticker.... i had a look for it a month ago and it's pretty badly shredded
  2. oh wish i'd known that i could do that with AAA. I just spent 6 hours at the dmv so i would go for a long ride but the bike is currently off the road with some FI issues and ignition problems. hmmm power drill you say ?
  3. Hi all, So it's time to register my 3 year old bike in california. only one problem, my speedo only shows 7050 miles when the actual mileage is closer to 9000. Why do i care about this ? Well for one, California decides that if my bike is under 7500 miles then it must be new and thus the hunt for the emissions sticker that i'm sure is no longer there being that it's a 3 year old bike that i rode every day in Seattle would begin. I have to register 5 vehicles simultaneously which is a monumental pain in my ass so i'd prefer this particular registration to go as easily as possible, especially given that i had to spend a whole summer riding sans speedometer while waiting for the part last year, so i don't feel in the slightest ethically challenged for having my bike show whats closer to the correct mileage. Any suggestions ? Robbie
  4. Watching the big Duke blast down the front straight at Laguna this summer was almost as big of a highlight for me as Nicky Hayden's win. The Duke sounded downright plain evil !
  5. my Paul Smart turns up in a few weeks, so i'll let you know how it compares to the V11 if anyone's interested. I'm expecting it to be lighter, more balanced and more powerful than my V11, but what remains to be seen is how soulful it feels. The mainstream press certainly seem to be impressed with the new sport classics so maybe they ride too "modern" i'll wait and see

Looks like he got the tank and seat from the thetankshop.com Dope looking bike, but then i always said that us Scots had the best taste in bikes
  8. Well personally i'ma bit disapointed. Goodon Guzzi for going with the Norge, despite the unfortunate name. I don'tthing that tha Cal vinatge goes far enough. Maybe Guzzi needs to talk to Mark Etheridge to see the ambo look-a-like that he built a while back out of a newer Guzzi, Just my .02 cents but even i'd be interested in a modern Guzzi cruiser that looked like an Ambassador.
  9. http://www.eicma.it/fiera-moto/en/default....8&PagePath=297- Looks like Guzzi is first inline this morning to do one of their presentations. I must admit i'm curious to whether theyre going to anounce a sports bike in addtion to the GT tourer.
  10. Hey Pete, whats that Fairing off of? Thats exactly what i'm looking for! Great looking bike by the way

Do they still make the cg100 in the UK ? nothing beats it for learning on Here in the USA , the venerable EX250 performs the same role
  14. yeah i figured i really missed out on that one black supertwin. oh well i snooze i lose
  15. Hi Supertwin, You're not still selling them though right ? I'm about to finally get back to where I was at, when i was looking at the black one you had, if i cannae find a Supertwin, it's off to Mark Etheridge to build a hot tonti
  16. um you know it's a Ghezzi Brian right ? in fact thats the Supertwin on the left and I believe the Pro Thunder 4valve model on the right. http://www.ghezzi-brian.com You can't buy them in the US anymore(I wish i could- missed the boat on one in Texas last year), there was a place out of Dallas selling them but that was a few years ago.
  17. I had the Euorpean version of the GB500 (honda xbr500) as my first "real" bike. I loved it!
  18. you mean your neutral light used to work ? Does anyones neutral light work ? I always thought that it was an energy saving thing to just not have it switch on..... hahaha no seriously i have just given up expecting my bike's electrics to work correctly, maybe the new generation of guzzis will be more sanitized in that department
  19. DOOD ! how can you even mention New Order in the same sentence ! Oh god, growing up in the UK all there ever was on the radio was this pap. The drummer in my old band went to College with Limahl from Kajagoogoo or whatever their name is.

could be worse laddie, out here in california the motorways are all slabs of concrete loosely joined together and i'ev had more rock chips in car windscreens in my 9 years of living in the states then i did he entire tie i've bene driving in the UK. I think it must be simply too hot for Tar Macadam here
