Found it! thanks. I will check it out as soon as possible. Once you get a little taste of how practical fast trains are, you don't want to go back to the tin experience. Traffic between Houston, Austin and Dallas advocate having such a service. When I was working in Europe, we would always privilege fast trains instead of flying. No extra security, no lines for check in, no extortion fees or haggling for luggage, no luggage carousel, all the space you need for your legs... Besides, train stations always terminate inside the cities; you don't need to get miles out to go to the airport. So why still no train between Dallas and Houston? I read that rural land owners don't want to be incommoded by a line running through their property. Same happened in Europe. But once the first line was running, then it became a clear winner.

Are you attending anything in Europe? I recommend Le Mans if you have never been. Do not try to purchase your tickets using the MotoGP.com site, tickets are sold out. Go to the local website, to get your tickets: https://billetterie.gpfrancemoto.com/ You can get them DHL'ed to you. See what you get for 88 Euros for the three days: General access from Thursday until Sunday; Priority access to the Motorcycle Parking Access to the camping zones Moto or Auto Free access to the natural stands on first come basis Official program Meet and great the pilots Friday and Saturday after practices (most likely French pilots only, sorry...) Live music in the village on Friday and Saturday evening. Show on Saturday evening. You can take a Moto Taxi to the train station and take the TGV to Le Mans. https://passbike.com/aeroport-de-paris/ I recommend trying it. It is like being on a roller coaster. You will be weaving through the cars; it is legal in France. Do you want to create one for Houston? we need to get Goldwings though. Do you think there is a market for that here?

I think Aleix Esparago was also very fast.

Marquez was really lucky to not have hit, or being hit when he completely missed his braking early in the race. He managed to make an emergency exit through a minuscule gap in the traffic. Rins was faster than Enea Bastianini; once again, if the Suzuki had qualified better, the outcome would have been different. I also agree that Marc Marquez would have been fighting for victory had he not had that starting problem on the grid. Making his way through the field all the way up to 6, including a good fight with Fabio Quartararo completed a nice race day. It is now blatant that if you don't start at the top of the grid on race day, it is almost impossible to win.

Triumph Speed RR versus Ducati Panigale V2?
p6x replied to p6x's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
While I got ticketed and prohibited from driving motor vehicles in my country of citizenship, I never infringed the law anywhere else in the world where I worked and lived. In certain countries, arrests for what is generally a misdemeanor car turn pretty ugly, putting your life in the balance. There are places in the world where a fender bender can get you lynched because you are a foreigner. But I don't follow rules out of fear, but out of respect; maybe age got into it too.... -
I had a girlfriend a long time ago, she had given a name to her prohibited fruit. "Juliet". There is nothing more odd than having someone telling you: "Juliet is not available today", or "Juliet is out of commission", or "Juliet is not in the mood". But I got your point with the Scandinavian naming. We had to study the "Song of Roland" at school. Durandal/Durendal was his Sword. (Link provided). I am trying to think if I want to call my Le Mans something, but I don't feel it.

Ducati day in Austin for the Pole: 1 to 5... Nice from Johann Zarco to provide a reference to Jorge Martin for the pole.... Marquez dodged E. Bastianini who was attempting the same.
-
A lot of MotoGP pilots are now "waiting for a tow" in qualifications. Aleix got his panties in a wad because of that...

A French guy, Cameron Beaubier made pole in Moto2!!!

P6, not E6

I am watching FP3 live, and Marc Marquez avoided another possible high side in turn 2 by the skin of the teeth....

Triumph Speed RR versus Ducati Panigale V2?

Maybe you remember the times when batteries were not maintenance free? You could use density to check the acid, testing each element, and adding distilled water as needed. The battery on my Ford died surreptitiously and bricked the car's ECU! obviously out of warranty. I could not even replace the battery myself, because the ECU needed to be reprogrammed. Not only did I need to purchase a new battery after less than three years, but had to also pay for the ECU programming. Did you know they have a special charge each time they "connect" to the ECU? this connect charge covers the cost of computing equipment, software maintenance, interfaces and technician. Plus the labor cost of course. It is only 20 USD for the "connect", but still.... -
@FreyZI Have you thought about setting up a payment scheme for when the time comes? I would suggest that you stay out of it if you can, and provide a link to the manufacturer's so we can send our contribution directly when the times come? or is it all going through you? either way is fine with me. I suggest you add a column to the sheet showing the payment price expected versus the status and date paid. Since we are at it, maybe a date shipped too. Just an idea, nothing that is absolutely required.

Very nice bike! -
I could not watch the FP2 live, and the RTBF has not yet posted the replay. Most likely because they want home before the end of the session. Excepted for the KTMs, all the bikes seem to be competitive.

It is hard to believe that German engineers could let this one slip through the cracks. I still have a hard time believe that it was unintended. They must have known this bearing was not lubricated, and would become a failure prone part with time. One of the early sign your IMS bearing could be failing is a subdued oil leak from the back... now you understand why I wanted to get my 911 to the shop.

Back to COTA... Marc Marquez is here for the win. During FP1 he was not showing all his cards. Did not try the time attack, and still managed 5th at 0.4 from the top!!! Aprilia are still there, this time with Maverick. It looks like we are going to have a real race on Sunday, not a Marquez solo, or so I think.

Scary!
-
When you own a 911, and you have some kind of sputter coming from within the inside of the bell housing, you would not immediately think about using devilish additives.... There is a failure prone (so everyone says) bearing on the 996; I would rather not verify how good, or how bad this #1 fixer is...

Moto2 FP1 starts now 9:00 Tejas time.

It seems we have plenty to talk about! I am familiar with Punta del Este, since many Argentinians spend their vacation there. I like Uruguay, but I always preferred Carilo to spend time on the sand. I have lived in Argentina since 2003. I have an apartment in Belgrano. I was initially thinking to purchase at Puerto Madero, but I decided that only foreigners lived there, and I favored a place less "touristy". Argentina is a place I would really enjoy touring on my Guzzi; unfortunately, it is no longer as pleasant as it used to be. As for the 911, it is a costly hobby, and I am glad that I found a justification to part from it. As it is at Einer's, using the space for the Le Mans is so much more convenient. I can even make use of the central stand without any difficulty. It was that, or purchasing a house with a larger garage... Mike Haven said he does not work on Porsche. His atelier is full of BMW and Mercedes Benz, no Porsche. Actually, the leak is more like an "anal" reaction. I wish I was different, but even a few drops of oil ruin my life. I like perfection. Of course Einer found many other things wrong with the car. I am replacing the four shocks too, thus wheel alignment, since they are dropping the power train, it is a good opportunity to do some preventive maintenance. The quotation says that I am going to lay away twice the purchase price of the Guzzi.... Don't know Lockhart, but I have had it with those BBQ pits who have lines that form from 8:00 on week-ends. I think the Texas Monthly should make a list of the "unknown" Texas style barbecues. On a very sad note, I have been unable to find any Bluebonnets this year.... do you have a tip? I went to Brenham, Chapel Hill, looked at the usual places... nada!
