It could have been done on post-production too. It is simply amazing how photographs can be corrected to make you look... better, different, younger, slimmer; Thank god the V11 does not need any artifice to look sexy1

Shot with an emphasize on the white shirt, leaving the face in the shadow, so focus would be concentrated on what the photograph wanted to show. Did it work?

I like this shot. I am guessing it was done with a Tilt and Shift lens; you do not happen to have the EXIF to confirm?

I took a quick look this morning; some of the pre-owned leather jackets I looked at were more expensive than a new Shangri-La Café Racer sold new by a shop here in Houston... I will look more, but prices don't seem realistic and I don't haggle. Is the brand Aero Cafe Racer Black any good? I am going to need a leather jacket too; What should it be? Shott or Shangri-la? Shott has a red leather option; I usually purchase pre-owned. A leather jacket in Texas maybe a bit of challenge, but I need something to affix my patches.

I used to go to Austin for week-ends before the notorious technology companies decided to congregate there. I have seen how it affected the cost of living there. I no longer go. I also attended the SXSW each year. As far as conviviality, in the 70's you could actually talk to the pilots. Barry Sheene used to remember my name as he was seeing me around. I spoke to many of the pilots, including Giacomo Agostini when he was still racing. Today pilots are never alone when they walk through the paddock, they are recluse in their motor-homes, I feel bad watching the fans begging for crumbs of attention. I had a real conversation with Jack Findlay! I can't imagine doing the same any longer. The MotoGP guys are like eels nowadays, very slippery.

Here's the link to the video; if I remember well, MotoGP does not allow embedding. This is a three hours long video; as LowRyter would put it, some of us have too much time in their hands. A few highlights; -Fabio Quartararo was very chatty with many pilots. That he is fluent in Italian and Spanish probably helps. -Marc Marquez was spotted examining the other bikes during the "freeze frame". He was a gentleman accepting taking shots with the "little people" of the MotoGP. Nice! -Dovizioso was invited by a rider to check out the new Ducati; however he declined when noticing he was being filmed... No, I don't care for MotoGP; I just enjoy the social stuff.

I just received the flyer, but I have not gotten my flag yet. Most worrisome, my Le Mans is still at the hospital. I am also supposedly going to Alaska so I think I am not going to be around.

I am going to go out on a limb, but I will put down Johann Zarco. He arrived second last year, and he is going to be one of the guys who needs to show himself to secure a contract in 2023. The race did not happen for MotoGP in 2020, only moto2; In 2019, 2018 Andrea Dovizioso won. In 2017 Maverick Viñales; followed by Andrea Dovizioso. I am putting this 2022 win on Ducati.

I don't think we should grow up, and it is a shame that we do. I would give anything to be able to rediscover the small emotions and joy of life again. I am tired of feeling that it is a repeat of something I have done before. My motto always was: Experience helps you recognize a mistake... when you make it again!

I think the host of the community is located in the USA, but I have not checked. You know that website hosts can be held (almost) anywhere in the world. My company had ours in the Netherlands because of geopolitical restrictions within the USA. But I don't think it affects our forum. To give you an example, if we had members in Sudan, and the site was hosted in the USA, they would not have the right to join. If instead the site was hosted in the Netherlands, they could. When you go over a threshold, there is a cool down period. It varies with different parameters. It is possible that you get more than 24 hours cool down. I think Google has that feature, the more wrong attempts, and the more time you need to wait to try again. You are correct also in not knowing when 00:00 UTC occurs in a server. I think this can be the privilege of the leaser.

@Bill Hagan I think this site's provider "invision community" still uses older techniques to keep the forum members to contribute. Since the majority of the people on this site are senior citizen or close to, I don't think it is necessary... In other words, "talking" to the forum is (sadly) one of the few remaining perk in life, for some of us. Unless of course, you do the ultimate thing: -riding a V11

I don't want to be the naysayer, but I would not keep my hopes too high on getting anything tagged V100 anytime soon; and I say this hoping I am completely wrong. The complete lack of information about such a novelty which has managed to inspire so many Guzzisti, or aspiring ones does not bode well with our expectations, or should I say: impatience? I am starting to look at my future in a different way than previously. Before, I could not care when, I knew I could wait. Nowadays, I am taking one day at a time. As I said in a different thread, I am going to make the most of my V11, because it is the present and the legitimate cue to my next ride.

@Bill Hagan I recently pestered about that very same restriction. You are aware there is a leaderboard on this forum, and to appear in it, you need to have obtained a certain number of "likes" for your posts. I suppose the pages are coded in order to avoid someone getting too many "likes" from a "friend"; because obviously, the only reason anyone posts threads here is to get on top of the leaderboard!!!! In fact, every single day, I check my ranking, hopeful to get to the top spot, in order to brag about it at the bar...

Do you think she is a passenger only? being the pillion on such a bike must be so uncomfortable that I am saying it is her own bike.... it is not specified; of course, someone took the photo. It would have been wise to take a pic with another bike in the shot, to dissipate any doubt. What do I know.... I have doubts on how she manages to fit her hair in that helmet, and not looking tousled. To those of you who have a Panigale, is there any room in the tool kit to store combs, brushes, eye liners, lipstick?
