It inserts into the removal tool to pierce the filter and help turn the oily filter. In theory it would work, but in my case after 2hrs of not getting the filter to move. I was advised by KaleV11 to look up with my I-phone camera to see if Shaun (prior owner) installed a metal band around the filter to make sure it wouldn't vibrate loose, an alas it had one. So next up was the whole pan dropped and cleaned up to remove the band and then the filter. I "bought" these tools with the bike in the couple of boxes of "stuff" Shaun dropped off with the bike. BTW he gave me a new oil filter and gasket too, what a deal right.

I have seen tight valve clearances create the same scenario, you are right, it wasn’t happenstance. -

Skip, just talked to the hotel, the cabins are at the beginning of the resort, across from the golf course. She claimed its about two miles from the main hotel building to Jenning's Road. I will be trailering down because of my father, that said I could run a Spine Raider Uber for those wanting to leave a bike behind @ the garage for "tech sessions".

Docc, you will be able to scrub the front tire in on the way to the KSR....

My vote- Ride the miles out of the tire. 🛞

Historical race bikes and Riders

I was seated in the Indy mile stadium, watched this live, in town for the MotoGP races, rode over to the fairgrounds to see the dirt track racing. Rossi, Kenny Roberts, Nicky Hayden, & I think Willie G Davidson were all in attendance, weather was perfect. Kenny was supposed to do a parade lap and stop but he went for more and ran wide open across the start/finish line. The 750 2-stroke was screaming as he roared by the grand stands, the capacity crowd went crazy, unforgettable. -

Most riders don’t find themselves sling shot away from the Apex, have to drop the bikes lean angle until you’re almost knee dragging to avoid running off the track. All while doing 185mph, a predicament that pushed that motorcycle to its limits. The MotoAmerica spec Ducati runs World SuperBike electronics, maybe they helped save Josh from the Grim Reaper. ☠️ -

Docc, who owned the (spine frame) Daytona? I like those dual headlight Hinckley bikes.

2023 MotoAmerica Medallia SuperBike Racing

It could have been much worse, with other rider's getting hurt along with Josh. What's not seen in the last lap that Josh eluded to in his video breakdown was that the competition between Cam, Jake and Josh was second to none, epic, some say best ever American Superbike race ever. With 12 lead changes in 15 laps, I would agree. What I hope is that the MotoAmerica Medallia SuperBike Championship racing stays this entertaining all season long with all three winning a race. -

KING OF THE BAGGERS FUN..ATLANTA 2023
Joe replied to KINDOY2's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
King of the Baggers is a novelty but usually get more YouTube hits than the SuperBike races. It brings in a lot of non-traditional racing fans (read Harley-Davidson) & money to MotoAmerica. That said, they are 620lbs minimum, top 180mph, & race pretty hard. -

Josh Herrin reportedly lost his front brakes in the collision w Cam on the last lap, that’s why he ran through turn 10a. I agree the BMW & Ducati have a lot more ceiling as they get their bikes sorted with the Ducati strongest later in the race. Herrin & Beaubier looked awesome this weekend, w Gagne the talent is definitely stacked in MotoAmerica SuperBikes this year.
