The combination of both Marzocchi forks and the small bikini carbon fairing make it undefinable, cannot find it listed this way anywhere. To further complicate it, it's eggplant in color with lavender mufflers. I keep thinking maybe the fairing was added, but the combination of all these factors, no. Can anyone find this combo listed anywhere online, was it actually a legit MG model?

Cleaning the fuel system as my newly acquired 2003 V11 has been sitting for a decade. I have everything apart, replacing filters and fuel lines along the way. Lastly the injectors. They seem to be attached via two allen head screws, nothing more. These screws barely rotate and frankly feel like I'll break them if I insist. Is this the correct way to remove them? Please help, before I break something, lol!

Thank you for your replies. Being in Southern California I have numerous places I can take them. Although I ’m more than comfortable swapping the seals myself, as I say I’ve done this before with other bikes. I guess I’m mostly curious about the special tool. i’m actually leaving tomorrow for vacation, so I have plenty of time to think about it. Ciao

My newly acquired 2003 V11 has leaked all of the fluid from the right fork. (I used a tool to reseat the seal, but not too sure about it being successful. I'll add fluid and see what I have.) I've rebuilt forks a number of times, most recently on a 1982 GL500. To avoid needing a special tool to hold the internals, I just used an impact gun and broke the nut free without the need to hold the other side. Can this be done with the V11 or is the tool a requirement? Considering I'll probably never use it again, I may opt to pay for this service. Opinions, advice, DIY procedures to share? thx

I soaked the parts in simple green (smart and final brand). Everything came out clean and I blew them out with air. I could not get it apart so I’ll see if there any problems before forcing anything. Thx for your feedback

…late to the party. I haven't even got my 2003 V11s running yet. Assuming I will, do I need this mod? As I read other post, it would seem it's a marked improvement, easily notable once completed. I don't want to be left out, lol. I'll order one, but am confused as to why many of you are ordering more than one.

I'm considering customizing a seat that would be better suited for two. I'm thinking if I remove the rear cowl and construct a seat with a larger cushion to take its place, it could be great for longer rides with the wife. Anyone have a torn up seat that I can use to modify the sat pan?

As explained in my intro post, I'm refurbishing a 10,000 mile V11 that hasn't been started in a decade. I removed the circlip on the regulator, but damn if I can take it apart, is there a trick?

@docc, yes that's the exact one. I'm still going through it; I cannot wait to take it for a spin!

@footgoose, you mentioned my GB500. It's noteworthy this is actually the Cycle World project bike that was built into a 600 (cam, pipe, etc). Hello all, I'm Anthony LaGrasta, from Mission Viejo, CA (SoCal). I recently acquired a 10,000 mile burgundy 2003 V11 Sport that has been parked in a garage for over a decade. I'll be working to get it cleaned up and on the road. Among other bikes, I also own another Moto Guzzi, a 2010 V7 Cafe Classic with 23,000 miles. Thank you for having me.
