  1. I saw this video on YouTube a few days ago, so excited to visit! It's now on my Retirement Travel list. Our family has a vaction home on the island of Brac, Croatia. From there, I'll try to plan a moto adventure up and over the Adriatic Sea , into Italy. That will be epic. We have a few more years, though, until the mrs retires.
  2. I just returned from my Saturday Saddleback Church group ride. We didn't make it to Hamburger Hut, as I hoped. One person had to be somewhere by 2, and a newbie had a 250 Rebal and didn't want any freeways. We still had a great ride, nearly 50 miles round trip to Dana Point for lunch. This time I took the V7, unlike the V11, a cable clutch. Wow, the beach stop and go traffic really taxed my hand. The clutch is so heavy, regardless of any adjustments I've ever tried. However, just like the V11, it ran flawlessly. Always fun! …and no pictures.
  3. Met a friend on his KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE in the Laguna area, dropped onto PCH and just rode south, stopping when and where it seemed good (views, beach, coffee, etc). It was cool and overcast, perfect riding weather on what could have easily been far too hot. This stretch is one of my California favorites, one sleepy beach town after another. Torrey Pines is incredible as the palm trees give way to pine trees, so beautiful. In between all of these is the Marine base, Pendalton, that forces us onto Highway 5 for a short time. Even this isn't bad, as it allows us to stretch the bike's legs a bit. …and you know I did. "C'mon, pick it up Super Duke!" The V11 didn't let me down, and a few strangers along the way even asked about the Guzzi. It ran perfect. 120 miles later, parked it in the garage with a smile on my face. I've started a Motorcycle Group at my church, https://welcome.saddleback.com/ministry/motorcycle. I think I'm going to repeat this ride for this coming Saturday's ride, stopping for lunch at Hamburger Hut. Though if the wife joins me, I'll be forced to take the Kawasaki Concours, grrr!
  4. @Flooky Curious, did the new Regulator include a direct positive wire to the battery? I had exactly your issue, turned out it was nothing that needed replacing best I can tell; although I did replace everything! Once I ran the direct wire, all seemed fixed, no more blown or melting fuse.
  5. all good choices, @Sempervee1 I'm torn, I like the Stevio more for a number of reasons, but am held back leaving air cooled for water.
  6. @Scud I have not even ridden one as of yet. I'd very much like to swing by and take a spin. It would be great to finally hang out! Just say when, thank you.
  7. @Lucky Phil 100%!, and I'm only 58.
  8. these both fit my V11: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801516792348.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.5aa71802MQKfCp&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832622654235.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.10.5aa71802MQKfCp&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa
  9. I have eight bikes, so many to keep running and registered here in California. But I do it successfully, I ride them all. Minimum yearly registration, regardless of age is $175. This inlcudes my two 50cc Scooters! I keep considering selling a few, but truly I want them all, and still use them all. My V11 is absolutely spectacular, even just to look at. I love the form and shape, colors, etc. It's running so fantastic, putting thousands of miles on it since acquiring it, and working out the bugs. What a joy to ride. The only shortcoming is distance; my body aches after a hundred or so miles. I tried talking myself into trading teh V11, my 2004 Kawasaki Concours, and maybe my highly customized 1982 Honda GL500 in for one of the new V85 or watercooled Guzzis. Give up three for one new one that gives me a lot of power, long mile rideability, etc. nah.

  11. Well, it turned out the one I bought from Amazon is the wrong size, so I looked at the one you mentioned. It, too, is the wrong size.
  12. I finally printed the TPS instructions, set all of the settings as instructed, and all is sounding and idling nicely. At this point, I'm next to address the TPS itself, and I wimped out. I have a voltmeter, but not the Casper harness to easily connect to the TPS. I didn't want to mess anything up so I stopped there. To save $40, I bought this with the hopes it fits and I can build my own for a mere $8. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M3KGLJZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 If it doesn't fit, Amazon free returns! Please don't think less of me.

  14. As I just went through this, allow me to advise also running a power lead directly to the battery, just as https://www.electrosport.com/ suggests. Until I did this, I could not get mine to work properly.
  15. thank you @audiomick
  16. I just searched this topic because I keep seeing more and more people adding the MISTRAL V-TWIN BOOST to their V85tt. Since Mistral is a company I respect, I thought maybe, just maybe. I looked, they do make one for our V11s, but just as you mentioned on this thread, it's tom-foolery. I do need to do something to adjust my off-idle lunge. It's not safe, especially when I'm in a turn and gas it!
  17. yup, my AliExpress pump is working perfectly. Most pump sources are buying these very same pumps, and upselling them.
  18. More confirmation, now with a few hundred miles. A dedicated line direct to the battery has solved this. Finally!
  19. Hmmm, now that I think about this, @Scud did I meet you by chance a few months ago at C&C and just hadn't realized it was you from the V11 forum?
  20. @Scud I seem to have finally worked out all the bugs in my V11, sounds like you have too. I'm now retired, so even more time to ride. Let's plan something together. We could meet in San Clemente for Cars & Coffee as it's in the middle.
