  1. @docc had posted this pic prior, and is what I used as reference. It truly made a big difference, so much better now. I questioned this bolt/nut orientation so I placed the nut outside, so I might see it missing should that happen and leave me stranded one day. On a side note, I retained the lock nut but swapped to a hex head bolt rather than the allen bolt, thus easier to wrench on.
  2. I installed this upgrade a long while ago, but never had it adjusted correct. The trick is all linkage should be at 90°. I knew it was off, but it's hard to get my fingers in there to adjust it so I kept putting it off. Finally, this past week during Christmas break, I made the time to correct this. WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Extremely better, positive shifting. Today I rode into work wearing my new Goldtop jacket and shifting safe and sound.
  3. Congrats are getting your girl back, both of them, lol! I know people are skeptical, but at $360 dollars, my AliExpress injectors are still performing fantastic, thousands of miles later.
  4. …you guys are gonna laugh, it doesn't fit! I was so excited, it came very quick, via FedEx. I open the box and at first think it's the wrong color, appearing very brown. It did say it's Oxblood, but it far too brown for my liking. Then I try it on and can't zip it, literally. If you met me, you'd really laugh, I'm a skinny guy (5'10", 160lbs, 33" waist). 65 euros for return postage, swapping from a 40 oxblood, to a 42 black. Sheesh!
  5. Phil, you mentioned letting him by, I know it's not often done in MotoGP. In SX, this happens surprisingly a lot. I don't believe it's team orders, just those recognizing they're not in the hunt. With this said, I sort of thought they should have allowed him by, considering it was a last chance, championship deciding race. There are argument for both sides, but the selfish in me wanted to see the fight!
  6. I nearly bought the Merlin, very nice. Maybe I will after I outgrow this one in a few years.
  7. https://goldtop.co.uk/collections/jackets/products/the-bobber-jacket?variant=40068147970219 I've been wanting an asymmetrical zippered coat for awhile as I'm tired of cold air funneling in through the normal style zipper on cold days, but not ala Marlin Brando style. After much research, I went for the Goldtop Bobber, and to my surprise, in Oxblood. I cannot wait to get it! It has 1.4 thick leather, cool history, and very good reviews, even priced much better than similar styles. I was hoping for a Black Friday deal, but instead of a discount, they included two gifts, wool gater and a leather keychain.
  8. Wow, such an exciting race! Being a BB33 fan, it was soooo exciting. Until 2024
  9. Here in SoCal, Teslas are more common than 911s, Camrys, and pickups combined. They are everywhere and always following behind too close or speeding far beyond all others around them. Most of their owners don't realize how fast they are, or how non-intelligent they are. They seem to get in, and let go. My self-braking Kia also does a poor job of identifying cyclist quick enough. I must always be manual when cycles are around. I hate to admit it, but it is getting more dangerous. Texting while driving was bad, and this only adds to eh danger.
  10. I've had incredible performance from lithium batteries. My V7 had a Shorai for nearly 10 years! I own a total of 7 bikes, and aside from the two scooters, the other 5 all have lithium. My new favorite brand is NoCo, (currently in my KLX250) really impressive product, and price!
  11. Did you need to extend the cables, to fit these?
  12. It's missing the very best part of any motorcycle, a V twin!
  13. I wouldn't worry about that now. That will burn up in no time. As for the fast idle, check your linkage, and the "choke" cable. it gets hung up sometimes, mine did.
  14. Being a Binder fan, that was an amazing, breathtaking race to watch, wow!
  15. https://no.co/products/lithium/powersport
  16. I wonder if it's grounding out, maybe positive to the frame?
  17. That fact you have zero electrics, but the battery is good, it can really only be key, fuse, or battery cable.
  18. 15 years ago I was really into the café scene, and fell upon the new Lignano Green Moto Guzzi V7 Café Classic. I was already a huge fan of V twins after Sportster ownership. Plus, my family is Italian! Eventually I bought a 2010 V7 Café Classic in that green that I loved so much. I had already built a 1963 Ford Falcon hotrod/custom, painted in a matte green so it felt like the V7 in this color was meant for me. Once in the garage, it was much loved, much used; still is. Years later when buying a 1989 Honda GB500 (this exact one) to add to my collection (I had sold the first one I owned), the seller mentioned wanting to also part ways with his 2003 V11, in burgundy. One look and it had to come home with me too! What a nice addition to my V7.
  19. I'm happy for #JZ5 too. Being a #BB33 fan, what a nerve racking race. Right there, every lap, slowly catching up to Jorge, I really thought #BB33 was going to win, then ends up 4th with an elbow push. Exciting!
  20. For being a life-long, die-hard motorcyclist, I surprised myself with my children, now 19 and 22. I did not introduce them to cycling. My son did have a 40mph moped for a bit and each one sometimes rides our 50cc Vespas, but for the most part they don't ride, nor do they know how to ride using a clutch and shifting. I have been in so many situations where I could have died, I just never felt comfortable introducing them and they never begged me enough to change my opinion. I do sometimes consider taking my son to the dirt and teaching him on my KLX250. At least there, he will be wearing protection and can then at least say he knows how to ride. In spite of all my close calls, it's never deterred me from riding.
  21. KTM did well yesterday in qualifying down under. #BB33 is probably trying hard to keep up with Thrilla-Miller on his home track.
  22. @docc I confused you? I merely meant I adjusted fuel maps for my 2010 V7 via PowerCommander and a PC, but never plugged in my V11 ever. I've now spent some time on thread ECU limited by stock O2. I don't think I need to mess with this as I'm not experiencing any of the stated hiccups and such.
  23. Forgive me, I never messed with my V11 ECU, nor do I have a full understanding of such. I have dabbled a bit with my V7 using PowerCommander. I'm curious, I replace my OEM sensor with https://www.ebay.com/p/1840908993, and receive quicker fuel adjustment?
