This is very useful to know (anodized red). If one is trying to match Legnano Green, here is data I collected for it (from others research), as I have a 2010 V7 in this color. Greenie Paint Code Using all of my super Spidey senses, including deductive skills worthy of Sherlock Holmes' smarter older brother, I present to the Moto Guzzi community the paint code for the weird greenish gold color found on the V7 Café known alternately as "Legnano Green" or "Solaris Yellow": (drum roll please) Nissan paint code ER4. Long story short, I had a warranty repair done to my gas tank due to the bike being delivered with the right side horn rotated up so high that, thanks to normal engine vibrations, some paint got rubbed off. Thinking ahead, I asked the dealer to provide a bottle of touch-up paint and the paint code for future reference. The paint code from Moto Guzzi was unobtainium, so the dealer, Steel Horse Classics, used a professional auto body shop who matched the paint perfectly. When it was all done I got a small bottle of paint with ER4 written on it. My first search for ER4 turned up somthing like 1996 Nissan Gold. Since I don't know anything at all about automotive paint codes, my first reaction was "what? - nah! - must be some mistake". I have since learned that ER4 was likely never used on any US market Nissan car and is listed at various web sites only under the years 1996, 95-97, and 98-99 (for the Nissan Micra). The color description on these sites is listed as any one of the following: Gold, Gold Pearl, Yellow, Yellow Olive, Yellow Olive Effect, and finally my favorite, Sumatra Yellow Metallic. Solaris Yellow or Legnano Green is never mentioned anywhere. I found a US based outfit (automotivetouchup.com) that would supply a touch up bottle of ER4 and I did a comparision with the bottle I received from the dealer. I have concluded that they are one and the same color. The bottle I received from automotivetouchup.com was way to thinned out for proper use as a touch-up paint, so I had to apply multiple coats to get proper color density. I think that due to all the color elements in this paint, use for touch-ups will probably always be less than satisfactory unless it is professionally sprayed on. Anyway, just my small contribution to the Guzzi pool of knowledge and the three or four people out there who may find this information useful!

al_roethlisberger I mixed and matched OEM and Ali parts to fit these. I didn't have to modify anything though.

al_roethlisberger They bolted right on, no mod needed. The quality is great, no complaints. They've been on my V7 for a few years, no problems at all. The truth is, most any you purchase, are coming from China anyway.

I use Lithium batteries in 5 of my 7 bikes. The Shorai in my V7 lasted something like 7-8 years! Their small size allows them to fit anywhere, and doesn't matter what end is up! Regardless of brand, these batteries all ship with self monitoring overcharge circuitry, very safe. I've never had a problem. I'm adding to this thread now to let you know about my most recent purchase, NOCO. Even prior to opening the box of this 1.5 lbs battery I was so impressed. The packaging is incredible, over the top. Being in marketing, I understand what goes into boxes, manual, etc. I literally saved everything, not sure why, but it was too nice to dump. The battery itself, being used for my Dual Sport spins it right up. I'll be considering this brand again next time I'm in need.

Nice to hear your updates and adjustments. I now have my fork in the riser at 15mm, much better turning. That may sound extreme, but I tested and tested, and it felt best. Come to find out, Todd over at GuzziTech advises this exact amount. I was merely basing my adjustments to the V7 steering, which is great. Next is setting my sag, as I have the tank back off, allowing access to the shock adjustment. If you're curious of proper sag settings, search for my sag thread.

To better restore mine, I soaked it in automotive interior leather spray, came out super nice.

It was easy to pull out the old clips, cut and solder in the new LED bulbs. They seat perfect within the rubber socket. They provide plenty light as well. Note LEDs are directional, thus the above color key includes positive and negative designations.

Can anyone confirm please? If not, I'll start poking each wire to see what lights, lol I should explain further. I removed each light socket, marked each before doing so. Then afterward realized the pen I used wiped off the masking tape while working with the harness. I then proceeded to remove the now unless tape and inadvertently also slid off the tiny zip ties that contained two wires, per socket. I now have all of these wires, unclear what one is positive, what one is negative, and what two belong together. The above is what I have concluded thus far. I'll figure it out, then post to the thread if no one else has ever recorded these facts.

…dealing with this now, as I'm replacing my panel lights with LEDs, the OEM sockets were touch and go. After cutting them all off, I THEN noticed the schematic is not reflective of my bike. After a quick forum search, I find this @docc schematic, and accurate too! Thank you! Kudos also to Carl Allison, nicely built schematic as well, allowing me to zoom in. The factory manual schematic, in comparison is poorly labeled, confusing, and not in english. I would have been lost. Thank you again Carl and docc!

from my notes: MPH Cycles Starter Interruptus mod Parts at http://www.cycleterminal.com/ (except the 14 AWG blue, green and white wires). The MPH Cycles part comes with a 10amp fuse in the fuse link. The heat shrink tubing and the black protective tubing could be replaced by ordinary electrical tape. You need a crimping tool for the brass terminals, but a garden variety tool from the hardware store will do fine. The connectors from Cycle Terminal come with male and female spade terminals. The "eye" terminal on the fuse link has to be purchased separately.

Newly acquired vehicles always have me and a can of slippery-squirt spray all hinges, keyholes, buttons, etc. Give it a try.

I hurt my back yesterday, building a tire change jig. As I laid on the couch all day I watched lot's of good stuff. One of my favorite movies, Sing Street (Netflix), and endless Youtube videos. Eventually, curiosity got to me and I removed them. They haven't been reinstalled now for over a decade! @MartyNZ great looking Wilbers MonoShock! I have Wilbers on my V7, so fantastically accurate, and infinitely adjustable. I'm too cheap to upgrade my V11 with one, but you got me thinking!

@80CX100 I really appreciate your perspective. I will make my order later this week, waiting for a few vendors to respond to my request. I did already order the upgraded MGC OEM cable. I believe they are out of stock, but they still took my order money so maybe it's just a matter of them having a request before they fill it. I hope to hear back from them this week.
