  5. Raising the forks up through the triples will speed the steering. It shortens the wheelbase.
  6. The more I examine this option, I think I could remove the stock bars, raise the forks through the triple trees about a half-inch (achieving a welcomed slightly faster steering), then mount these Tarrozzi on top on the triple tree, achieving a solid 3" lift. The added bonus, maybe no need for longer lines! After I complete this handle bar mod, I want to fabricate rear foot peg mounts that don't put the passenger's feet tucked under their ass. I think I could easily make a new plate mounted to the same two upper mount points, same muffler mount relationship, then a more forward foot peg mounting location.

  8. https://motociclo.com.au/product/tarozzi-clip-ons-high-rise-78/ I can already tell I need to sit up a bit more, especially with a passenger on-board. After some research, these seem like an alternative, mounted under the top triple tree, unlike the stock bars, atop. I realize this would diminish the 2.75" lift. I'll have to measure this distance, to see just how much is lost. and then there is the issue with the lines…
  9. if the OEM were readily available and not price gouged, then I would go OEM.
  10. @footgoose Seems only Harper's still has inventory. https://www.harpermoto.com/13-oil-return-pipe-1162300.html I'll do the heater hose mod, and keep an eye on it, even replace it every 15k. What is the copper fitting mod you're referring to?
  11. Yup, the forum speaks the truth, crankcase vent tube! For being a vent hose, it sured spewed a lot of oil, whats a mess! Pricing seems to be $70 at MGC or about $30 using a heater core hose at an auto parts store.
  12. This oil leak won't stop. If I look up in there close enough, there is what I believe to be an Allen screw with no possible way to tighten it as it is blocked. Although I'm not sure if this would help anyway. I'm dreading to admit it, but I think it may be the more difficult fix for this one!
  13. Okay, okay so I'm not the only one. I admit, that makes me feel better about it. So I test rode it today, no more seal leaks! Now, I'll adjust the clickers a bit, I'd like it a bit more soft.
  14. UGH! I was so excited that my new seal arrived yesterday I assembled it in my pajamas at about 9 at night. I woke up this morning only to discover I forgot the dust seal. It's a good thing this is an easy task, but seriously!

  16. I'm speaking of the two just above the oil pan, in back.
