  1. I'm with you @stewgnu, not a fan. Since he has metalwork skills and didn't like the wires and such, he should have wrapped the bike in his own custom fairing.
  2. After reading this thread, I see now, it's not just me. I'll attempt this front Zerk again this weekend, maybe helping myself by lifting the bike to allow the rear wheel to hang down a bit. If this doesn't allow me to get in there, I'll use this as an excuse to visit fellow forum member @Scud as he is just down the coast from me.
  3. Thank you all, non-adjustable! This is my second Guzzi and it snatches a bit more than my V7. Having already flushed all fluids, I'll start working on more delicate hand activity.
  4. I wanted to mention once more now that they have arrived, my success with AliExpress. I wish it were an American company, but being honest, this is where so many vendors purchase their stock anyway. Going direct allows for a huge savings. I have yet to install these parts but once arrived, I was genuinely impressed with the quality of each. Complete brake pad set, $30 https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804604782807.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.3a6d18025VMQOQ&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US Fork & dust seal set, 40mm, $12 https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803348185096.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.79ea1802E2kpC4&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US
  5. I spotted the grease nipples on the shaft and tended to them. I searched the other end (motor side) and saw nothing. Later when reading I see there is a nipple on the motor side. After wedging my fingers in there, I felt it. But how to get to it? Removing the shield for better access seems just as difficult.
  6. When I release the clutch lever, it snaps into engagement. It's only a smooth transition if I feather the throttle. Is there a way to lesser the grab a bit? I looked and looked through the service manual, but no adjustment instructions what so ever.
  7. I finally installed my shift extender, makes a difference, improves shifting for sure. I still have to dial it in though, I'm not sure which way, extend or shorten the throw rod.
  8. @RacerX I love GuzziTech, seriously, such a fan! I did actually look at your store, but IIRC, there wasn't everything I needed, and I was hoping for a one-stop shop. I actually rode the V11 to work today, first time. Maybe I'll swing by, hope to see you! As for supporting you, until recently, I only owned the 2010 V7 and even now with 22k on the clock, it has never needed anything. As for hop-up parts, it had everything when I bought it; suspension, ignition, exhaust, tuning. I'd love the 850 cylinders you offer, but they cost as much as I paid for the bike, lol. If truth be told, I'm so disappointed with MG Cycle's customer service, I'm returning most everything. Their online selection and pricing lured me in, but I needed some hand-holding (I asked twice) and they didn't. They failed at getting me everything; I can't complete the forks or the brakes. Rather than make another order for missing items, I went elsewhere.
  9. Thank you for all of the replies. I'm not looking for a service stand, but a standard center-stand. I may end up making the rear rack as I want a small backrest for the wife when riding two-up. But the center stand is a bit more than I'd like to fabricate. I guess I'll keep my eyes open. I travel to the Adriatic area nearly every year so maybe something will be discovered in my travels.
  10. After initial research, is it crazy to think a center stand and rear rack might be available somewhere?
  11. Add AliExpress. I specifically searched Moto Guzzi V11 fork seals, and they had numerous vendors with complete sets of which to choose. I checked brake pad set, same. The crazy thing is so many global vendors are sourcing their stock from Ali anyway.
  12. I guess I'll log what I get, then make another list for an other vendor. grrr.
  13. I'm not certain when I ordered front brakes, it's both sides of the front. Not sure why anyone would order just one side though. The fork seals, it seems they have some pictured with one seal, and others with two. Again, why would anyone only do a single side. I clearly questioned if my parts were correct for my task, so maybe I'm just overthinking this, and they'll arrive correct.
  14. Sheesh, MGC helped even less than I originally thought. I now have a feeling I have half a brake pad set, a single fork seal and a spring of no use! 20% restocking fee!!! It's only money
  15. I've been so focused on my newly acquired V11, my V7 has been idle for a long time. Today, I woke it up, and rode 20 miles to work. WOW!!! I still love this bike so much. It is so zippy, and light weight compared to the V11. The wheel base and rake must be very different as the V7 turns so quick in comparison. I want the V11 for longer trips so the differences are just right for my needs. As for my V7, I'll never let this one go!

I need to have this repair performed, as mine doesn't turn off. Shutting it off to remove the tank would be handy, buy doesn't solve the problem of the other side still draining from the regulator.
  17. Thank you @docc. I don't plan to change the spring unless I must. It was my intention, after reading the forum to carry it as a spare. When making my order, I saw it was being advertised and added it as a precaution. As for Lucky Phil extender, that will be put on the bike fairly soon. I wanted to ride the bike as stock, to better notice before and after differences. On another note. I chose to order from MGC, my first time, as they had good prices and selection. I'm not sure how I never managed to order from them in the past for my V7. I reached out for ordering advice on fitment, but phone calls were not being accepted. In an email, there was some back and forth, ending in confusion, and additional cost on my part. Somehow, he managed to ship my order within an hour or so of placing it, before answering either my email or order notes asking for fitment confirmation. Now a day later, I'm still wondering if my order is correct. The front seal was wrong, and I'm still not sure if 1 or 2 kits is needed for front brakes and front seals. I have a feeling, there is more back and forth to come, following by additional USPS cost and his lame restocking fee. Even returning a car to the dealer doesn't cost a restocking fee. Disappointing service.
  18. ordered… I already have those grips on my V11, never seen them before. The taper is surprisingly perfect! They feel and fit incredible, so much so, I searched the internet to buy a set for another bike, but failed finding them. Then making this order this morning, I browse MG Cycle and to my surprise, there they are!
  19. I believe I successfully reseated/resealed my leaking fork seal. To refill, I opened the top cap, but could not syringe in the 400cc. Advice?
  20. SUCCESS! I installed the AliExpress ordered injectors, the bike started right up! I don't understand why the OEMs bench tested correct, twice, but failed to even light the bike at all. With that said, and having to remove and replace the injectors far more than any bike should ever have, it now runs great. I put just over 10 miles on it, at speeds of 100 mph. I still need to address the right fork seal as it allowed the fluid to leak out while sitting with the previous owner. The brakes were surprisingly not great. I already flushed the brake fluid, so maybe after some heat cycles they will grip better. Expecting a bike with only 10k on the clock, to still have the OEM pads, maybe they need replaced not due to use, but rather age. I'll determine this soon, easily enough replaced if need be. Having finally went for a run, I'll now remove and replace the rear-end, gear-box and motor oils. Plus, I have yet to install the shift extender cam. Having ridden it only 10 miles, I can already see it needs it! Thank you all for your advice, truly appreciated.
  21. I received the new injectors yesterday, my Saturday morning is now planned!
  22. yes, and pressure tested, all is good.
