  1. @80CX100 I really appreciate your perspective. I will make my order later this week, waiting for a few vendors to respond to my request. I did already order the upgraded MGC OEM cable. I believe they are out of stock, but they still took my order money so maybe it's just a matter of them having a request before they fill it. I hope to hear back from them this week.
  2. after far too much research, this vendor seems to have the best choices of cables, and pricing too. https://www.officine08.com/web/elenco_prodotti.php?idfiltro1=4&idfiltro2=4037&idfiltro3=5169&pag=3
  3. @gstallons yes, only the inner needs replacement.
  4. does this fit our bikes, expecting no difference from their listed years to my 2003? https://www.officine08.com/p14778_speedometer-cable-moto-guzzi-v-11-01.html In my research, I've created such a confusion for myself. For $80, TLM seems to have a modded cable that eliminates both drives and the plastic gear at the speedo. they do have stock afterall. The link above show a new cable really cheap. The thing is, I've been hesitant to purchase since none of these seem to ensure fitment. I did also put a deposit on the modded MGC cable, however this seems to be nothing more than a slightly bent versions of OEM. I haven't heard from them since my deposit though.
  5. my exhaust of choice. I'm actually running one on my dual sport, KLX250. https://shop.gprexhaustsystems.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtbqdBhDvARIsAGYnXBNAy8tO73BXZ2isZlvmn4bDHF1U2KNPh4SLfnsnG63p0us_UqdhB3YaAg9CEALw_wcB
  6. …it seems no one has any cables, MGC or TLM.

  8. LED instrument lights, $20 Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HK9HFJH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I installed these on my 2003, work fantastic, fit so nice too. They are brighter than OEM, but not overly bright.
  9. @cash1000 this company is closed for the Christmas holiday, but once they are back in office, confirm USA delivery, I'm going to go for this option. Appreciate your confirming. I did also order and pay for a stock style from MGCycle, but as noted, they have none at present.
  10. I received two styles of pegs, ended up installing the non-lowered rubber padded style. Bolted on, no mods needed. These are the identical ones I've been running on my V7 for years. As for the lowered style, these are impressive quality, so well precision machined. As stated earlier in the thread, they need to be shaved just a tad to fit into our mounts. I chose not to use them as they didn't lower teh peg enough to make much of a difference. My guess is about an inch at most. To do any good, it would seem I'd need twice that amount, but then I'm shortening my cornering clearance. So instead, I'm going to use them for my pillion pegs. They will be perfect for lowering and moving forward these pegs, much more comfortable for the wife!
  11. https://tlm.nl/moto-guzzi-triumph/04768300-tlm-modificatie-kmt-v11-sport-haakse-overbre just discovered this cable and gear mod.
  12. aha!!! I hadn't realized until I just removed it a second time, the very tip of the cable broke off inside the speedo. Good news, I only need a new cable. Bad news, I need to figure out out how to remove the broken tip. I just ordered an upgraded cable from MGCycle, however they are back ordered. Anywhere else I might find one sooner?
  13. I read many with the Buell peg mod, changed it back, as it wasn't comfortable. The ones I just ordered are so adjustable, I'm sure I can get them just right.
  14. They may not match up exactly perfect. I ordered one and will report back. I may have to shave a millimeter off, I have no problem with that.
  15. After reading so so many foot peg threads, I think I'll order these. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801259800527.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000060.3.390c5ebbO26fXi&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.291025.0&scm_id=1007.13339.291025.0&scm-url=1007.13339.291025.0&pvid=4357c347-fe42-409c-a4bd-f2bb7a0342c5&_t=gps-id%3ApcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller%2Cscm-url%3A1007.13339.291025.0%2Cpvid%3A4357c347-fe42-409c-a4bd-f2bb7a0342c5%2Ctpp_buckets%3A668%232846%238113%231998&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000016140396055"%2C"sceneId"%3A"3339"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!USD!55.21!38.65!!!!!%402101d1ae16716484229634005e72a4!12000016140396055!rec&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US Any feedback prior to my ordering?
  16. lol, the discontinued supposed US made pegs, are actually still available from manufacturer in China. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801224992024.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.4f5a389c7THlOk&algo_pvid=017e19f3-f536-4aef-9d45-9cd4f9be2e36&algo_exp_id=017e19f3-f536-4aef-9d45-9cd4f9be2e36-4&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000015984275025"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!SGD!29.09!22.68!!!!!%402101fd4b16716441488185484e61c4!12000015984275025!sea&curPageLogUid=dsZtQ32GidL6 and many other options. 17. These are awesome, albeit expensive. The look to be plug and play, even for our bikes. Even so, they are not available any longer. Any similar alternative? https://www.suburban-machinery.com/K1200LT.html
  18. @GuzziMoto I searched everywhere to find the ratio, but failed. I'm hoping ours is the same by default. Configured for 1:1 Drive Ratio (1,000 cable RPM at 60 MPH) 5/8 x 18 male thread attachment point for 0.104" square drive speedometer cables. Additional adapters sold separately.
  19. @Scud I will definitely visit, sometime soon. I'd driven my bike to work about ten times now, each a 40 mile round trip. Each day, I repair, adjust, or observe something new. Today, I lost two of the three screws that hold the exhaust tip into the silencer. A lunch run to the hardware store should get me home, then I'll apply some lock-tight. As for the speedo, I read extensively many of the threads on the forum. In addition, searched online extensively for choices. Since my cable and drive work, I'm going to take the cable into Autozone, just for the hell of it, and see if it fits any of the cable driven speedos they stock. If it can be made to fit, I'll go that way. If not, I'll attempt to have Joel Levine fix what I have, and hope for a long life. I know, I know, This means I'll be adding Speedhut a few years from now.
  20. @GuzziMoto it is not my cable or drive unit, it is the speedo itself. I really would much rather stick with a cable unit, rather than GPS. I may buy a speedo locally, that I can return. This will allow me to test if the cable threads into it or not. If I can find a $50 3 3/8" speedo that fits teh cable, it's an easy repair.
  21. Researching alternatives, seems to be so many. Why not spend $100 for Equis, Stewart Warner, AutoMeter, etc mechanical speedometer, 3 3/8? Am I missing something, is the cable threads not compatible, is there no adapter? Does the ratio not work? Anyone explore all of this? I'm surprised some have gone with GPS, rather than sticking with cable driven choices.
  22. The cable and drive are A-OK! I hooked up a drill and spun it up. I guess the speedo gear must have taken a dump. I'm apt to open it and repair it myself, if I can get the parts, and it's obvious. I've repaired a few speedos in the past, different cars and bikes and such. Joel Levine has offered to take care of it for me, but hasn't offered a price. Any idea what that cost? btw, I set the valves this weekend, and adjusted the forks a bit more. Ran it to work again today; no leaks, runs well, and the suspension is much stiffer, more to my liking. I'll set the sag this week while my father is visiting for Christmas. Dialing it in little by little.
  23. Am I able to open the speedo myself, swap out what's broken? Is it simply a mater of swapping worn plastic gears? Are they available?
