@Lucky Phil You mentioned the fix is simple, but I thought it took machining of some sort, no?

Can anyone confirm this fitting our tank? https://www.sd-tec.de/en/moto-guzzi-petcock-m16x1-8mm-50-nibbio-cross-magnum-125-tt-benelli-125-250/item-categoryId-15817-itemId-35105400_.Z-sort-price__asc.html If this does screw into the tank, I now have the adapter to transition the hose to the larger fuel pump hose size.

I know Binder hasn't been fantastic as of late, as KTM hasn't. However qualifying last and finishing so far up the grid was amazing. The announcers hardly mentioned it, so much action at the front. Fun race to watch.

Rear drive needle bearing and swing arm restoration
LaGrasta replied to Bjorn's topic in Technical Topics
Rode the 25 miles into work this morning. Whew hoo, it handles amazing, so fun! Rode the entire way waiting for the newly paved round-about exit. I timed it perfect and threw it into the turn; tracked so well. What a joy! -
Welcome @Ali Fra. Having just acquired mine V11 a few short years ago, I'll mention how I've really fallen for this bike. I hadn't intended to buy this bike, nor was I familiar with it. Having already owned a V7, I was open to the V11 when it was made known to me. Since then, the 1100cc have won me over and is now my default distance bike. I spent time with basic maintenance and then dialing in the suspension, handling, etc. This has been documented on this site should you be interested. My effort has been rewarded with a bike I'm always interested in riding, with confidence. This forum is my daily go to, great community, and so much assistance. Welcome!

I read this thread today, looking for rear axle order: axle, nut, shim and spacer. Didn't find it. The factory manual schematic is not very good. shim, spacer goes…? -

As they are not 100% even, Id say I still have a full turn on one side, and only 3/4 on the other. I can dial it in a wee bit more, what do you suggest?

I'm still waiting for my tires to arrive, but last night I seated each dowel; it was fairly straight forward. I measured each to assure same starting threads, then clockwise rotated each evenly, one side then the other; back and forth, back and forth. When one eventually seated, I backed it off one full turn, and matched the other. As it sits now, one side is one full rotation from seated, and the other is a little less than one full rotation. It seems to me, there is a bit of acceptable variance, and I should be well within. Once I mount the tires, I'll bounce it a bit and see what it looks like, listen for any concerns. Hopefully, that should do it. Thanks for the advice.

Thx for the report! One of these years… -
So evenly inserted, lightly tight, very lightly.

…will do just that, thank you @docc

Hey guys, since I removed the rear wheel, I also removed the jack-shaft for proper lubing, successfully completed. To do so, I removed the swing arm pivot dowels. What is the realignment process, I cannot find it in the factory manual.

The reason I was considering these sizes, is because they didn't come in the OEM size. I didn't want sport bike tires because most of my riding is straight freeway. I wanted this particular model because they are longer lasting, due to better center compound. I'm sold on Kenda, many good experiences with them, both with street and dirt, they represent great value. I may just go with their sport bike tire model, KM1. They are available in the correct size.
-
As most of my riding is freeway, I'm looking for higher mileage tires. I'm a huge fan of Kenda, such value. I purchased these and am now wondering if fitting these may not work. Even if they fit the rim proper, will they clear the fenders. Shall I give 'em a go, or swap for Kenda KM1 models? https://powersports.kendatire.com/en-us/find-a-tire/

Strange post. I'm sure he's a good guy, in fact I believe I've met him online years ago. He states what a great bike this is, but just not riding any longer, wants it to go to a good home. Then he goes on to explain in detail all the other bikes he hopes to acquire.

Wow, what a weekend, Sprint crashes and overtakes were crazy, and exciting! Great GP as well!

Spent the weekend riding, about 40 miles. The new suspension, combined with the new handle bars made for numerous required comfort adjustments, still more to go. Riding into work this morning on the freeway, realized immediately rebound is too much, the other settings may be about right. As for the handlebars, more need for adjustment, as they are not square. The Andreanni cartridges really did make a difference, allowing for preload, compression, and rebound. The specific issues I was experiencing are now gone. I'll continue to refine the settings, and see if I'm not eventually a huge fan as I am with my Traxxion Dynamics setup on my V7. By the way, I successfully replaced the fuel pump, only to later find it was merely the fuel pump fuse. I was so focused on the fuel pump relay, I completely forgot to check the fuse.

I can confirm this true: It won't work with an LED unless modified

I agree with @docc, let it be. I don't recall what battery you have, but some have circuits to prevent overcharging. My advice, ride regular. This alone helps many potential issues; including our mental state.

https://www.aliexpress.com/p/order/index.html#:~:text=12V Automotive Relay Tester Electronic Car Relay Tester for General Motors Battery Tester Alternator Analyzer Diagnostic Tool https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800991782345.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.202.21ef1802GZg59K&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa Two items of note. These are the relays I bought, so affordable I wanted to give them a try. They have been in my bike for a couple thousand miles, no problems at all. In addition, I also bought this relay tester. Works like a charm.
