  1. @Gritman good feedback, thank you. I will mention though, you purchased the new regulator unnecessarily. Early on, Lithium batteries did not have the technology to self regulate, they all do now. Each comes with the tech to keep them only at acceptable voltage.
  2. Seems I never updated anyone yet, sorry about that. I installed the circuit breaker, went it easy and works perfect, bike starts and runs as intended. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QTSZ32B/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  3. Having replaced mine, I can say it's very easy, especially with the tank off. You should have no problem.
  4. Sorry to hear this has happened yet again, must be so frustrating. This hasn't happened to me, but @Scud is only 20 miles from my home. Hope he has some in stock.
  5. I know a Ducati tech, he was gracious and set the SAG on my V7 many years ago. When doing so, he commented about the adjustability of the Wilbers, he was impressed. He said it was highly adjustable, small turns made large calibrations, allowing him to really dial it in precise.
  6. I hardly use my pneumatic gun once I got this unit. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/impact-wrenches/7-amp-12-in-impact-wrench-with-rocker-switch-61173.html This should remove that bolt, right proper!
  7. @Guzzi-in-Vancouver Don't reach out to Andreani just yet. They are about to create the kit for our 40mm Marzocchi forks, using mine as a template. They are starting the build next week. Once done, they may offer a forum member discount. I'll report back afterward to let you know.
  8. I spoke once again to Andreani (Luciano, David). They spent a great amount of time sharing the kit development process, etc. It's obvious they are really familiar with our bikes. Once they receive my forks, and confirm a kit can be developed, it will be listed in their catalog. They cannot start for a few weeks however. I'll keep us updated on the progress. Considering there are only about 2 other cartridge options, Traxxion, Matris, and they cost at least twice what these do, I'm excited to develop these!
  9. I spoke to the Andreani rep today; nice guy, knowledgable. He is familiar with our forum and suspension threads. Even the @Lucky Phil debacle. He mentioned the difficulty with our bikes; not too many globally, and age. They only receive about two request a year. He said if I'd send him my forks, he'd fit them, document everything and list their availability for future sales. I'm seriously considering it. I'll be calling him back later this week.
  10. I bought the breaker from Amazon, planned to have installed it this past weekend, but it wasn't delivered until Sunday evening. I did manage to free the buss, cut the wires and prep it. In doing so, I discovered a previously installed butt-connector on the 15amp fuse that easily fell off. I'll solder that back when I finish the CB install. Much thanks to @gstallons, for calling me to advise my repair and check in on my progress. I've got a friend in Kentucky!
  11. yup, this is mine: titled as 2003, with a 2002 "Long black Frame" with "Short Tank" (chin pad/external fuel pump/filter), white gauges, crinkle engine paint.
  12. Thanks guys, super fast reply! It is the OEM harness, however I added the forum-advised extra ground when I first bought the bike. So to correct this, I bypass the fuse block, running a circuit breaker style, in place of the 30a fuse.
  13. Having recent trouble starting the bike, then it was okay without any repair. It turns over, sort of wants to start as if it needs gas. I suspected the fuel pump, but I hear it wind up no problem. I chekced this fuse and yup, melted, but not burned out. I replaced it, tried starting the bike, no different. Pulled the new fuse, and it too is melted. Super long thread, what am I to do, replace with a breaker, or relay? https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/pbcircuitbrkr.php
  14. A bit of confusion somehow. My bike does not have the bar holes in the triple tree, and it does have a chin pad.
  15. Great explanation, thank you. After reading this, I believe I need only add a 1 inch spacer, thus affecting preload. I did set my sag' strangely, it seemed my shock spring was too light. I adjusted it all the way out. Being only 165lbs, I would expect OEM springs to cover my weight range. Maybe it was swapped out by PO, but it doesn't appear to be. My wife is traveling with the daughter this weekend, visiting SJSU, so I'll have time to add my PVC. We'll see how it reacts…
  16. From all of these variations, inconsistencies, and differences; I actually gleaned something just now (thx @docc). I'm going to add a 1" PVC spacer, to help with preload. I believe this is all I'm missing to make this suspension acceptable. It still won't be great, but acceptable. Since I can add the spacers, cheap and easy, it seems like the thing to do. Plus, my only other alternative is to invest in a set of Traxxion Dynamics or Matris cartridges, and that I cannot come to terms with. I figure 1 inch is a good place to start. Advice? Do I need to cut the spring an even amount of the spacer? This is what I normally do.
  17. I have the black forks, C adjustment on the left, R on the right.
  18. Thanks @GuzziMoto My bike is an early 2003. It's been some time since I rebuilt my forks, I can't remember if they had the holes or not. I sort of think they weren't supposed to be on my year, but can't really remember. The Marzocchi cartridges that are currently sold on Andreani, I don't believe are the same as mine. I'm not opposed to breaking my forks back down, and welding up the hole, but I hate having to break them down, just to confirm if I have the holes at all. I guess I've got another project.
  19. Sheesh, just when I though I had found some hope. I guess this only leaves AK from Traxxion, but that price!
  20. After researching and testing, I'm believe my cartridges is what's wrong with these OEM Marzocchi forks. I had thought it was merely needing an adjustment, or spring replacement, but now I don't think so. Admittedly, I'm not understanding everything 100%, but this is where I've landed. I read the thread of welding up the holes on the OEM cartridges and it influenced my current stance. Having an AK20 kit on my V7, I'm a huge fan, but they are over $1200. At half the price, Andreani seems to be offering the same style kit. I've reached out to them, in hopes of being able to move forward. I'll report back when I learn more. Thanks to @al_roethlisberger for letting me know about this brand, with their new branch in America.
  21. Many OEM hoses I found listed, weren't actually available. I agree though, if I could have purchased the OEM one, I would have. At the time, I think the only place that had it was in Germany and it was like $80 plus shipping. Interesting enough, I only paid $18, and free shipping. I see now, it cost twice that amount!
  22. Yes, it fit perfect. I ride SoCal freeways to work, 25 miles one way. The entire trip I'm averaging 75-95mph. Even at extended high speeds, no leaks, no issues.
  23. is a fantastic source thread! Here is my replacement of this breather hose. Crankcase oil vent hose, $20 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C2Y22S?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I currently am using this on my 2003. Note: As this hose is intended for water, it is not oil certified. However others have noted no signs of wear for well over 10,000 miles. Even then, no loss of oil, only degradation of the rubber. At this price, and ease of replacement, it serves us to install, and monitor, and replace as needed versus OEM that is hardly available and cost threes times this amount.
  24. yes, you can plug it, but there is no need; you can leave it open.
