  1. Hey Jaap? if your from holland why isn't this site in dutch? or Netherlandese? I suppose I'm not complaining but the admins and original base are all from, what I can gatherther, the netherlands. Did you just want to make it a more global site? or maybe this was explained somewhere in the forum but I read all day and have yet to make a dent in the postings. Again Cheers on all the hard work for this.
  2. I would have liked to but on my oo' external fuel pump hoopala they wouldn't fit unless I had longer tubes on the filters. Ah well I never planned to go back to stock anyway.
  3. GOOOD luck to you man, That looks like one of those puzzles but on the side of the box its all in a forign laguage you can't understand even if you can understand it and the age is professional+ but I say that sometimes its more fun to fix it than to use it but always the most fun to break it.
  4. I'll give him a call tomorrow to ask him about it. if he wants cash It'll be another week or two if he wants paypal or various others I could do it tomorrow. But thanks for the heads-up JRT told me about it the other day but I'm going to give it a shot. what can I lose by asking about them?
  5. Well I might be a little late for an introduction I kind of just dived into the site when I found it. Well I should say found it for the second time I had looked at it once b4 I purchased my V11 sport and thought "lemans? whatever thats not what I got" well I was new and naive. I'm 24 I live in New Hope Minnesota (suburb of Minneapolis) I move around the cities a lot as I am still looking for a house. I grew up all about the country Born in Salem Oregon moved to Michigan then to Minnesota then to North Dakota then to Minnesota again. I currently work for a Budweiser Distributorship we deliver everything Anheuser-Busch products plus Guiness, Bass, Old Style, Special Export, Black Label, Colt 45, Smirnoff malternatives, Amstel light, Heineken And Smithwicks. I'm lucky I only deal with the kegs keeps me in shape and pays the bills I've been riding bikes since I was 12. I had a Sears Minibike with a brigs 5hp. when I was 14 My uncle picked up a 1978 Suzuki 125 motorcross that was badarse. I didn't get my first road bike until I was 21 I got a brand new 2001 Suzuki Marauder VZ800 Metallic blue I loved that bike for a short time I'll throw up a pic at the bottom. Just last april I sold my Suzuki and the same day I picked up my oo' V11 sport. I had looked at it the year b4 but couldn't spend the money then I had just got a new car. I came back a year later with more determination but thought I wanted a Triumph Sprint ST. I took out an RS for a test run and decided it didn't have enough character and would easily get me in trouble with the men in blue. The Guzzi was a little bit more but the quality and style of the bike sold me. Since that day the bike had 3800mi on it and now it has 8600 with one summer, not the best summer at that, of riding (I had my suzuki for 3 years and sold it with 8500mi which I only put on 2/3rds step dad rode it too) Now I'm here posting on this site maybe way more than I should. I've been married for 2 years to my significant other Stephanie and I have a 10 month old son Keegan. I've come to realize my favorite things in life are my son my wife and my guzzi just about in that order. My dream is the opposite of the Admin Jaap I'd love to be able to drive from oh say somewhere in scotland to the south or italy or maybe greece I don't have a nice straight line to plot through europe like the US west coast but I'd want to make it up as I go. This has been a very helpful site, everyone is friendly, and I've had many questions answered even if they had been done to death without having my head cutoff. If anyone has any questions for me all they have to do is ask I'm sure I will remain a regular and its already set in stone that I will be a guzzist for life wether I have one in my garage or not.
  6. I saw this on ebay it is a rather decent price compared to other places I've looked, I just can't make myself buy it untill I either don't get the MG ti's or already have the FBF slipons, Also Jaap that german forum guy you told me about I talked to him and he couldn't seem to give me a picture of the actual pipes or anything substancial so I couldn't see taking the risk of sending him $850 and possibly get nothing OR have no idea what they will look like exactly because he did say one of the cans had a dent in it. but thanks for the lead http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
  7. Al, youre so smart how do you know so much? I'm just joshin ya its always good to help out a fellow guzzist.
  8. yeah I used some very techincal instruments to make sure they were good and even, a large saw and my one good eye, then a wire brush to remove the debris. forgive me if it doesn't look the best outside of this circle, who's to know any better? you shouldn't have too much of a problem when I looked at your k&N's but you wouldn't be able to gain much distance maybe some stability so I wouldn't believe the ends would justify the means. I just had no choice.
  9. sos yous guys, I got my bike out today I know it needs a bath but I had to. I ordered the new bosch relays from waytek just down the street from me. (really like 20mi) and I put them in just to look at my old ones. turns out the previous owner had already done that and my only problems with them must have been either 1) they vibrated loose 2) are starting to go out on thier own . So now I'll just keep those older bosch incase I have a problem with my new ones down the road. BUT I also took some pics so ppl can see my nifty little k&n pods, my silly tank pad, gel grips, bar end weights and the nice little carbon buell flyscreen I picked up alls I need is the guzzi ti's and I'm done this summer, next summer the stucci.
  10. aww thats no fair, Cheater! we should set up some rules for this if the pic isn't guessed in 5 business days its considered stumpted and maybe we could get a small pic of a tree stump or something instead of a quiz point I dunno. not to have you make a ton of silly little pics but eh, just my

    Car vs. Guzzi

tuck and roll baby, I'm always making sure I'm not driving next to a car at least on one side of me so I have a decent escape route I know I can't follow that at rush hour but thats not the same. give good distance and a way out I've had a scare or two from not following my own advice I was sliding sideways on the freeway because traffic stopped and the nice morning dew (it was 5:30am) made it just slick enough for me to not stop that I hammered on the brakes started sliding sideways (leterally) and came to a stop within a foot of the cars arse. So to reiterate, 2sec distance at least, leave yourself an escape route at all times better to ride safe in bad traffic than have a bad accident in "safe" traffic.
  12. Thats Freakin Awesome Jaap , maybe if it didn't spin so fast though just my haha
  13. Ahh come now, not really the owner of the distributorship's son went off and started his own brewery, he didn't do too well and is trying to sell it now because beer as kind of taken a dive in the US, all those ppl drinking booze out there making my job difficult. Although I just deliver Kegs and we've been steadily going up which I'd rather wasn't the case I think I work hard enough.
  14. I'd say let it go till your warranty is almost up then stick'em for a new case if you can. why not have it new from there once it starts to chip or flake off again (if it does) just have it sandblasted or hand sand the crap off. Will be a lot easier than repainting it every few years I'd imagine unless you really like the black. OR if you can after you get it back maybe a tough clear coat could help. they should have a 2ยข emoticon!, jaap do we have the technology?
  15. I'd like to see something on this review its always good to see a pro's perspective on these bikes.
  16. Umm, I'd really like to see this program about the guzzi, what do I need to do in order to see it? thanx
  17. AHHHH poo on traxxas, I have a Mugen MST-1 NOW that flys lighter quicker I likes it. I've had them all tho, A EK4 with the .70, several road cars like the GT4 and a kyosho buggy. a MBX was the best built tho. solid through out I'd like to get one of those copters but they aint cheap. I only have 4 hobbys My: oo' Guzzi My Computer My Rc cars An Fishin 4 is enuff trust me although I still find myself bored quite often that could be filled with a truck restoration I was working on a 65 C10 chevy with a new 350 4bolt and all kinds of goodies but it got out of hand and out of budget and it had to go. so anyone gots any ideas for a new hobby?
  18. that doesn't even seem real. how do you fly them upside down? unless you can change the direction of the blade in a hurry I'm really confused by this, it has to be fake! maybe not. but its insane. I guess when I think about it you COULD change them that fast. but good god this man has more free time than ANYone I know. and lots of $$$ for gas and previously crashed helicopters
  19. the breva is nice enough looks like a moto guzzi Ate a BMW , should appeal to a decent crowd if they can get the bike and thier name out there. ME I'm all about the griso I'm more of the street fighter, Cafe Racer, Sport Naked rider, I'll get a Victory, futura, or BMdubbya if I want to tour.
  20. Yeah once I got them on with the extender tube (as not to be in the way of the fuel stuff that doesn't affect later models) they slid right on like a glove and look great I highly recommend them to all.
  21. I do not understand how such stupidty goes on, AND how they often sue someone for thier own stupidity, what is happening to the world exactly? I feel like we are starting to drown in a sea of morons. I mean this, how can you jump from one roof to the other then file a lawsuit because you didn't make it and hurt yourself because they didn't make it impossible for you to do something stupid . With that logic we might as well walk around with oven mits and goggles use nothing but plastic sissors, crayons and elmers glue because everything else could injure someone somehow someway. pffffh F-that. ok I'm done
  22. OH OH, buy that tail peice from paul then if you have to replace it anyway will be a tiny bit cheaper and cleans up the back of the bike nicely, I'm currently saving up for one. http://guzzi.daytona-it.com/
  23. I get some more miles under my belt on the sport and that griso will almost certiantly be the replacement for my V11, I'll have to change out the clunky megaphone style exhaust right away but it'll still be sweet!
  24. My advice get it running best it can, Sell it! and buy the griso, I think that bike looks sweet if they ever ship it to the US that is. That'll fix all your problems! altho sometimes fixing something is more fun than using it. I know I throughly enjoy breaking my RC cars and then fixing them but I still mutter about it.
