  4. August 76 bike magazine has the road test of the le mans and the photo of the girl on the bike, there was also road tests of "the fiery 400s". Bought a copy on ebay few years back, probably in my loft now.Funny how men of a certain age remember that photo.

  6. Just bought a new regulator rectifier unit, before i connect it to the harness i would like to clean up the connections in the plug/ socket as they are looking decidedly iffy, is there a way to get the metal connectors out of the plastic casing so i can clean them up. Failing that does anyone know the plugs i need. Gary

  9. Get the bike level and drain the excess oil. The oil level should be to the bottom of the centre plug.

  13. Oh well, maybe see him on the road during the summer ( when it arrives).
  14. I have to ask why you are changing up to 3rd gear in slow moving traffic??? . is the shifting ok when you are out on a fast run? These bikes like to be revved and will not be happy in a highish gear with low revs as you are effectively lugging/ labouring the engine. But it may be the linkages on the gear lever need taken off and lubricated or the bike may need a tune up, valves/throttle bodies etc to smooth things out. Gary
  15. Congratulations, glad its sold. Has he got a ticket for the scottish rally yet!!!!!
