  1. Check the Garmin site for software updates, might help...
  2. Pete, thanks for this story, like it a lot! If anyone has pictures to support this story, please share, it will help understanding... (for example of an oil pump, or the inside of a belly pan etc) Get well soon!

You're at the right place!... Apart from the other advice: go out and ride them, you can then tell the difference and see what fits you most. If you want to know more on the models etc, check out the search. Good luck! KiloSjon
  4. I Had the same, and after service (syncing) it runs very smooth, no more misfires and hick ups...
  5. I don't care on that one, also for the watches in Middle Age movies, no problem, but for me, if a ferrari V8 sounds like a Chevy or a Norton has the sound of a harley I just can't ignore...
  6. ...just watching Rambo's First Blood, a classic and oldschool, but nice to watch. What really frustrates me, is that I see Sly escaping from the police station on a XT500 which sounds like a 80cc two stroke. WHY?? In a lot of other movies they do the same, you then see a Duc999 that sounds like a cbr600 or a harley with 25 gearchanges (only upshifts). Especially in high speed chases, it sounds like crap. So Hollywood, listen: Stop making the movie silly by using the wrong bikesound samples, at least give us proper big bangs when we expect it! (Sly now has jumped from the cliff on a tree and is stitching himself, a lot more realistic then the F****ing sound of a moped under a proper oldschool XT500...) Any other examples? (Mission Impossible with the Triumph speedtriple, that wasn't a triple, etc etc)
  7. please put me on the list as well. Since I plan to do some engine work in the winter, this seems to be "low hanging fruit"... (if possible with the whiskey extension.. )
  8. I am very happy with my Garmin Quest, small device that advises me where to go. Small screen, no touchscreen, and limited storage for maps, but for me, with the PC interface, a perfect companion in both car and (motor)bike. The perfect pilot (garmin 2620) has a larger screen, more (expandable) storage and a touchscreen. Garmin rules because of the possibility to download trackdata and share and upload routes. Also, their possibility to add via points and scenic routes and, most important, their near perfect route algorithms make them better (in my opinion) than TomTom or other marques... (and they have a strong background in maritime navigation, hiking and aviation, so they know what they are doing...) Just my opinion...
  9. Looks pretty cool, but not "fat" enough, I think that 1,5 or 2 times the diameter would fit the v11 better. But keep those pictures coming...
  10. Do you also need inspiration for a custom exhaust? In my opinion it would be great to work on a Le Mans I style competizione exhaust in mat black, but twice the diameter/volume... (to fit on my V11 le mans) Still figuring out how to move forward... [edit] Did some googling: This is in the direction I'm thinking of: And there is a nice small exhaust company in the South of the Netherlands, SuperPole, they do customized work for a reasonable prize (they say). I will do some more thinking on the final design and then check the feasibility. [edit]
  11. Jep... If I saw it correctly, you did forget your camera, but not your female company?... (Ik dacht al dat jij het was (op het mgcn forum gezien) ik twijfelde nog om om te draaien, maar was al te laat voor een afspraak... Volgende keer beter... Einde van het seizoen een Dutch V11 meeting?)
  12. Last sunday I went to the caferacer day in Achterveld. Lot of Guzzi, only two V11's (Tenni and a Scura arrived when I left). Here some pics, there where some beautiful examples!....
  13. It is sooooo easy to give your opinion, hanging on the couch with your laptop. Not only this forum does it, it is human. But if someone goes out and makes his bike like he wants it, it deserves an applause. I would not make the same mods, but it inspires me to think about my own bike in another way. For example: don't like the blue on the exhaust, but what would dark green do? Without seeing his bike, I would never think of other colors than grey or black... So move on, let's be positive about the effort, and honest about how we think it looks.
  14. Really funny! Makes me think of this classic: USS Montana
  15. Better to look stupid and standing still than to look stupid by crashing your bike...
  16. In everybodies motorcycle life it happens at least once.... Last week: in the sun, plus 33degrees celcius, in my hot suit: Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Sweating like hell Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Damn, is that the neutral indicator? What did they say on the forum on this? Oh it's hot in here! Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Start the engine, in gear, it stalls Starting to look at the gear lever, noticing the sidestand, moving it, wondering "was it in or out?" Starting the engine, in gear, ride away, wave to the people at the terras...
  17. Me too... The first Turbo charger on a normal family car The Celcius scale Graved Laxx the Vasa (a warship that never got further than 500m) Inga (nit die Dinga) Ghostrider [edit] so not the movie, but the Swedish legend on Hayabusa... click for his trailer click for a classic[/edit]
  18. Here a video of the introduction of the Norge. The beginning I like, but then it becomes a bit like BMW-style. Guess it is needed to make sure it sells, but the video could also feature a RT... What do you think?
  19. I guess you're right... my 125kg could be reduced to 110, saving 15kgs just at the gym... But hey, then I didn't spend money and I did something healthy... I'd rather be (under the impression) to be real man-like and eat junk-food, drink beer and sit either on the couch or on my bike... (don't tell my wife, if she is around, off course I'm going to do the dishes, repair the fence etc... )
  20. They should have partnered with Garmin... Less "Bling" but much more practical for motorcycle use... (interface with PC, download and change routes, download trackdata from routes). TomTom rider is also a nice product, but more practival if you just want to get from A to B.
  21. Good idea, I already planned to visit TLM soon, and it is on the route from my work (Eindhoven) to Nijmegen...
  22. I bought my V11 there, so I should have come, but already had other plans... Do you have any pictures of the result? And what paint did you buy? (The HD wrinkle paint?)
