  1. If your V11 weighs 500 pounds, its probably out of fuel . . . I can remember two, or maybe three, female forum members. I think two of them actually rode V11 and the other had some pretty V11 jewelry on offer. Recalling just a few lady riders coming through our local "sport-touring" community reminds that the more talented ones chose bikes that fit them well (shouldn't we all?). The most adept of these wore full leathers and rode a Honda Hawk GT. Quite svelte, nimble and capable. The bike, too.
  2. Let's all hope that whatever they do will not be driven by what they "think" the Americans will buy. What a formula for disaster that has been, historically. Worse, yet, is this latest effort driven by the Chinese/Asian/Indian market? Unknowable from down here in the wrench-trench.
  3. Honestly? That image looks like a ruse. Just a bunch of stitched-together whizzz that has no basis in reality. Sure, sure, maybe Moto Guzzi/Piaggio will actually have something roadworthy in another two or three years? I'm not holding my breath that there even be an EICMA this year.
  4. Hey, that (rare) RedFrame >black< Sport has a sweet Givi flyscreen on it already. Gives you the option to go *nekkid* when the mood strikes you !
  5. Makes this a Cappuccino maker?
  6. I'm not alone waiting for the 3 cylinder diesel Guzzi Tutto Terreno. . .
  7. In my experience, photographers (even more than musicians) can be determined lone-wolf creatives with little patience or latitude for aspiring enthusiasts. All specialist communities can have this attribute. "What's a small and puny ant like you hanging around Muscles Mahoney's gym, anyway ?" You can almost hear the the suspenders *snap*. Welcome to V11LeMans.com. Check out the "Tube Amps!" thread and tip your server . . .
  8. I've been pondering what some forty-fifty years of the "bacon slicer" Guzzisiti must have thought of the BigBlock twin.... "What a bloated load of lard! Can you believe Moto Guzzi would make such a toad? There is certainly no future in this. You can't even see the flywheel! And a ferkin' prop shaft! WTH?" (Heh, well, they probably made some valid points. Time marches on . . .)
  9. I kinda thought so (and that shot is outstanding, BTW!), but wasn't aware he does vocals. Really nice photography, LowRyter!
  10. Dear, me! Between that shot of Van-the-Man and Neuschwanstein Castle, I think we should have a dedicated photography thread!
  11. At the very least, black is probably the easiest of the three early Sport colors to paint match.
  12. KINDOY@ nailed it: Passenger saddle cover, black GU01466434 Seat cushion (the little pad) GU01461530 "Nut" (x2) GU92650006
  13. IMHO, Moto Guzzi, cum Piaggio, has done an admirable job of creating product offerings that appeal to their future market. (Er, that ain't us, y'all . . . ). That the current V7/9 range and the bold V85TT has done so very well, worldwide, speaks volumes. How long this brave, new water-cooler might take to become established . . . Beta testing, anyone?
  14. 🎼🎶🥁🎸🎷
  15. Pretty sure Moto Guzzi knows not to try and make something I'll be moving up to from mySport, which I obviously already love and won't give up. And it appears they are not at all inclined to mount a proper transverse V-twin to my follow-on . . . OTOH, it has been a fascination to watch my son adopt motorcycling and work his way from a 2014 V7 (that he caféed), then to a V85TT (that he rides "adventure-style" = creek crossings, camping, and sketch roads). Where do these kids get these crazy ideas?
  16. You guys rock. Whatever Piaggio does cannot shake The Rock that am y'all.
  17. And, > honestly, I find these perspectives about engineering and product offerings quite revealing. As a consumer, it is impossible for me to judge the engineering competence of a product that interests me. Too often, it is more about the wrapper or the label. I feel like I got really lucky with mySport. I'm thinking about keeping her . . .
  18. Haha, so . . . say if you and Pete were to pull me aside and say, "Yo, docc - ya need to settle down a bit there, bud." . . . . Pretty sure V11LM.com will have a Moderator opening . . .
  19. That is wildly funny. And genuinely funny things must be true . . .
  20. Thank you, Sir! There was some lethal flooding here in middle Tennessee a couple weeks ago. Looks like this tropical system is sliding through uneventfully. Plus, it appears someone we know named "Ida" has invited a big blue "H" to come from Manitoba. There are still some things that can cross the Canadian border without asking permission . . .
  21. At one SpineRaid one of the fellows was running guzzidiag on a hand held device (not sure which or what those are called). It was a nice set-up being so portable and not needing a desk or table nearby.
  22. Me too. Who knew I would be still nursing this sorry-ass, maligned 2000 Guzzi Sport after all this time. It's valve train was supposed to burn up at 24,000 miles. What a piss-poor, sorry excuse for a Guzzi. Just please don't tell her. She doesn't know about the histrionics . . . .
  23. It is going to be interesting just what % of SpineRaiders bring a SpineFrame. Seems their rarity is on the rise. Even at a SpineRaid ! I can say the inaugural South'n Spine Raid, 2004, was 100% SpineFrames (n = 4), but they were "new" bikes back then. As well as unknown quantities at the time . . .
  24. It is good to know why one is crazy. Worse, lots of people are crazy and no one knows why . . .
