  1. Psssst! Don't tell ANYONE.... I've found the hot tip is to get away from the square tires that Neanderthal Greg uses and go to the Fred Flintstone granite tires. The do not do much for unsprung weight, balancing or traction but they are guaranteed to last 3,000,000 yrs.
  2. Bad to the bone.............
  3. People can f**k with things and fool themselves into thinking it is better. The way to fix this driveability and performance issue properly is with a PC or similar device, a gas analyzer, a dyno and most importantly a good mechanic with the knowledge to use these tools to get the most out of the bike.
  4. That's why I like my strawberries "shaved"!
  5. It gets worse. The more intelligent you become, the more ignorant you realize you are.
  6. Replace the bulbs and do not trust just looking at the filaments. These have index tits on the outside of the bulb body so make sure they are installed correctly.
  7. No, it gives you a good idea what the inside (of the switch)looks like.
  8. Synthagm?
  9. You (emry) understand that a resistance value of the sensor is interpreted by the ecm as a specific temperature. When you fiddle with resistance the the computer gets a false reading of actual temperature. this activity is the same as playing with the tps adjustment. Nothing is "fixed", but the ecm is tricked into believing the throttle angle is greater than actual.
  10. Don't forget to take the cell phone and fire extinguisher !
  11. How did you put that name back in there without me noticing it?
  12. D**n! You're a good writer......
  13. Have you priced a carbon fibre part. I have an OEM green one you can have. You pay shipping$
  14. The Geneva Convention outlawed twin Dellortos as a torture device. For those who have never had the oppurtunity, the throttle on my 87 SE is close to your wrist falling asleep and Carpal Tunnel syndrome x 10
  15. I am a voyeur. I prefer watching them do a "manual job" and save it.

    Howdy!

Fractious? That's why I keep 3 dictionaries at arns length. p.s. truculent (for some members)is not a bad adjective either .
  17. Upon further examination, the Vincent had a rear suspension system similar to the V11 monoshock setup on the factory bikes. The only thing "Vincent" about this bike is powerplant. Look at the decal on the fuel tank.

    Howdy!

It's good to have you here, now gas it up and GO!
  19. This is coming from poor memory. At Mid Ohio a few years back i noticed two combinations of carb set-ups.It depended upon whether you had a factory set-up or some had two front or two rear cylinders (I can't remember which) on the engines.I have not seen one with the tank cutout for one carb.
  20. In all honesty, do you realize how good you are?
  21. I suppose the one with the most antlers won ?
  22. It's not a Posidrive. It's a mess! Traditionally there have been 3 types of these screw heads;Phillips, reed & prince and Posidrive. Who knows what is made now. You could look on SnapOn's website for further info. They would probably be first in line to make a screwdriver to fit this type of head.
  23. Does your right hand go NUMB after 30 min. of riding?
  24. Is your fuel pump mounted on the frame rail or down on the side beneath the tank? What did you repair to get a flow of fuel? If you disconnect the return line on the r.h.side this will give you evidence of fuel flow when you turn the ignition on.MG does not seem to follow any order in the assembly of these fuel line routings but I hope you get the same results. The fuel petcock is "on"? Verify this by pulling this fuel line and watching a LARGE amount of fuel go everywhere before you reattach the fuel line. p.s. How many times did you cycle the ignition before you gave up and pushed your chariot back to the house?
  25. It should be okay....
