Tesla (for everyone's understanding) should send an e-mail to every Tesla owner stating that "this is NOT a robotic self thinking vehicle and the driver is fully responsible at all times" and make sure it is acknowledged. One life is not worth the stupidity of others.

Here's a tip, anything made of rubber buy as spares when you can and treat them with preservative and a clip lock bag and store them away out of the light. Rubber parts are a PITA to replicate or find an alternative to. I have my stash.

I haven't heard that term in a LOOOONG time !

That prison performance earlier was powerful
In the year 2525… are we there yet?
The video is from Metropolis . A very powerful movie itself. you need to watch. 1984 came by and was never addressed. IDK if 2525 is gonna be much different

Whew , I really don't know where this EV stuff is going ? And the idea you are going 100% EV ? I am not sure about this.

I wish I knew for sure but people are stupid so I am not sure . It was in a clip News of the Weird by Chuck Grizzard

Since the conversation has gotten lighter........... there was an article (back in the 70s) about this guy that bought a "conversion" van w/all the accessories , options , etc. After pulling out on the interstate he turned on the cruise control , got up and went back to the mini bar to fix a drink . The rest up to the reader's imagination !

It should not be difficult to decide "who" is in charge of driving/operating the vehicle .

Iirc,I read recently on this forum or another one idk?
Apparently fuel distributors sell the primo higher quality gas from the top 1/2 or 2/3 of the huge gasoline storage tanks,to the big, brand name fuel companies.
The bottom 1/2 or 1/3 is sold to the discount gas chain outlets;logically,it will contain more sediment & water.
If storage tank maintenance or management is sub par, that fuel at the discount gas station might contain a lot more water & sediment.
HHhhhmmm
Unless it has changed , there is a large fuel distributor in Paducah and when a tanker fills up , they use a "credit card" to swipe and get the additives mixed in when the fuel is filling the tanker. Shell , BP . Exxon , etc. comes from the same terminal . These cheap gas pumps at convenience stores have ZERO additives to their fuels. This is where mileage becomes a factor. AFA , water in the tanks , truckers delivering the fuel should be sticking the tanks before and after w/this paste applied to the end of a long wooden stick to check for water .
There E85 fuel pumps over in Mo. and they sell a lot of fuel. Whew , talk about poor MPG !

10cc of fluid leaving the master cylinder will be 10cc of fluid added to the volume of the slave cylinder.
Now as far as the leverage portion goes it depends upon the size of the slave cylinder vis-a-vis master cylinder bores. The hydraulic jack proves this point.
-
The volume of fluid "pushed" by the master cylinder has to go somewhere , so it goes into the slave cylinder .
Leverage works in this system but it has nothing to do with the volume of fluid moved.

My memory fails me but , I never heard of the Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac until right around the first round of Covid 19 . I was in one of my favorited haunts in Cape Girardeau at CD Warehouse and a Fleetwood Mac CD was playing . I asked the salesman some ?s , he pulled the CD out of the player , I bought it and things were never the same !

#1 verify the throttle kicker is fully closed.
#2 look at all the throttle linkages and be certain there is no binding anywhere and be sure throttle plates are snapping shut when you are releasing the throttle

I figured out the issue. It was a simple grounding problem.
Now, I have a new issue. The bike starts right up, but the idle is extremely high. I'm assuming it's getting too much air somewhere. I'm hoping to have some time to take a look at it tomorrow. I'm a little lost, as it idled fine before replacing the fuel pump. The tach is also shot. Can you explain the first sentence a little better ? It will benefit the people that took time to help you .

Well Fri. night when I got home from work , I put the chargr on the black frame , got up Saturday morning and pushed it out of the shop , then over to the water hose . Washed off two years of dust and then cranked for about 45 seconds before it started. Cleaned it up pretty good and decided to go down the road . OMG , this bike had head shake immediately off idle . I thought the steering head had rusted in place . After about 30 nins of inspection I realized the front tire belts had broken down . The best test method is to out on a brown Jersey glove and lightly rub the tire surface . This glove amplifies the problems and you can feel any imperfections with the tire problem(s) . New tire on order and will be here Friday ! Just in time gor the weather to dtop into the 30s !
FWIW , it has been two years .

After hearing this way too much when I was a kid , I now limit myself to once every FIVE years .
I don't need to tell you how fast 6 minutes is when your are having a catharsis ! I have trouble understanding perfection until I listen / feel music like this . I don't have to tell you this is best heard at full throttle .

Wow, I totally missed the fact that BMW was putting power (servo-assist units) brakes on motorcycles. That must be weird, but BMW has been a true leader in the industry on many occasions, including the enormous ABS units on the early K-bikes.
BMW has too many nutty professors on their staff , These guys are going berserk w/too much technology on their cars and bikes.

It's been apparently well-attended wrt upgrades/maintenance. There's a quick disconnect in the spares- I haven't looked to see if it's a take-out or a what-if.
The rear drive did crap out the main bearing right on schedule, though. Replaced at about 40k miles, now 91k. "They fail because they're too tight. If it failed and you replace it with the same preload, it will certainly fail again". So I bought a replacement on eBay and I'll have a crack at rebuilding this one myself.Mmmmm. to the best of my knowledge , the original large roller bearing is the problem and the upgraded bearing has more rollers and is supposed to be "the cure" .

EVERY one of you that is gonna attend , ride my anus unmercifully for 3 mos. before this event and the burkesville rallye to assure my attendance .

Being on that reminds me of the time I tried to stand on a high chair (YES a high chair) to change a ceiling light bulb . It did NOT end well .
A buddy of mine had a GS for one summer and your description is a good one !
BTW: if you haven't changed the plastic fuel line quick disconnect , do it NOW before you get a lower leg / boot full of gasoline !

I could NEVER figure out why one of my riding partners would ride next to the edge of the road and he could ride a 2x4 for 150 miles . I started following his habit to stay away from traffic . If I am in the left lane I don't want anyone on my righthand side. There have never been more factors to consider than there are now
