  1. Loud pipes saves lives
  2. It was connected to the axone and an electronic manometer. The mechanic was struggling for about an hour with the bike and gave up. He told me he never before had something like this. I am gonna let TLM solve it first, I wont touch the bike. I already had contact with Ruud about 2 weeks ago. I told him that after the checkup at tlm, I am gonna let him know what if I need an appointment. As I already said, it's the combination of the exhaust and kat.
  3. I guess you will need a new mapping for the k&n pods. You can move the sensor where you want, as long as it's away from the engine and in direct airstream.
  4. I called them on Saturday. Chief mechanic told me to check the fuel lines, internal fuel pump. And if the problem still exists, I should call him again. The things that worried me is that the 'tune up' took more than a hour and the bike was constantly running and getting pretty hot. V11 balance tuning " The bike should run for about 5 to 7 min and let it cool down for about 20 min." After the engine shut down he restarted it very quickly and that for couple of times. In the manual the say, try to start the bike for 5 seconds and if it doesn't start, wait for 10 seconds and try again. He waited for about 3 to 4 sec. I have a very good starter engine, I guess Ill keep y'all up to date ...
  5. At 6.30 o'clock this morning I went to TLM to have a checkup. I just bought the bike like 2 months ago and wanted to know if a bought a cat in the bag. After a quick check and a test ride by the mechanic, he said the bike is very good and everything is okay, except for the low rpm coughs and that the bike has a little low idle rpm. He connected the bike on the Axeone and started tuning the throttles and idle tps. This went bad. He couldn't get the bike at 3.7 degrees, the bike just shuts down. After almost 2 hours and a hot engine (106 degrees C from the Axeone reading) he gave up. Told me that I need a dyno run and a different mapping. After that I just asked him if he could turn the idle just a little higher and he did just that. Paying almost three time what I had in mind and what they told me it would cost, I went home. 80 miles ride. Took the exit from the highway and at the roundabout my bike shuts down. For the first time since I have it. I cranked the bike and got home for lunch I have a guzzi v11 2003 with kat, lambda sensor and bos slip-ons. I "know" that the bike is coughing because it hasn't been tuned with the bos exhausts. I've changed all the filters, got full synt oil, changed the spark plugs and adjusted the valves (.15mm/.20mm). Could somebody help me out or at least gimme some moral support. I am thinking of doing the tps balancing myself with a multi-meter and homemade manometer. UPDATE 1: After dinner I went out for a ride. The bike starts, I let the clutch go (still in neutral). Little rumble and bike shuts down. Start a again, with more gas, in first gear, almost no gas response, drove for about 200 meters. No improvement, the tps/throttle balancing tuning went completely wrong. OMFG
  6. I thin you need neew mapping for you ecu. I have 2 bos exhaust and it also sputters, but only till 3000 rpm. Above 3000 rpm the bike is great. Need a mapping too, because the previous dealer didn't tune the bike. Power Commander or flash the ecu. I am going for the frist option.
  7. Very glad that you are. And keep trying to figure out what has really happened, it will help you a lot for the confidence and to get over it. Here is a site with guzzi spares Reboot Guzzi Spares Now fix that goosey and go back on the road again
  8. He went to Italy to kick Donadoni in the ass!! But more important: Croatia wins against Germany
  9. I think you are right about that. I have bos slip-ons and the bike hasn't been properly tuned yet. Now I have very nasty hiccup between idle and 3000 rpm. My idle is also too low 800-1000 rpm. I'm afraid I'm gonna fu*k up the bike

    Griso

I also promised myself a guzzi about a year ago. I own one since this may. Didnt have the cash for a griso (more up to date), but my v11 sport looks much better. Still needs some tuning and gremlin hunting. It's as Frankdugosaid it it's not as fault free as a Jap, but it makes you love it.
  11. What about the spark plugs? I've send you a pm.
  12. I just changed my spark plugs (10000km service) and noticed that they were wet around the "bolt" thread. Is this normal? I also have an annoying hiccup between 2000-3000 rpm , but I found some solutions about it with the search. TPS balance, inlet/outlet gaskets, valve settings. Did I need to do something else while I'm at it? Hope to get the Roper plate soon, cause some Ferrari wants to race me ... and a Porsche turbo.
  13. LOL, it brings back memories when I also dl porn from a dail up line (a bill of 200 dollars in 2 weeks). I think at age 15. Told my parents I was looking for some nba stuff. I'll send you a mail ASAP. I need to change the oil soon (10000km service).
  14. I need a sheet too, but Pete wont send me the how to order info I couldn't find it anywhere and I DID search a lot. Or do I mis something. Pete send me the info
  15. Good news, it was only water. When I rode back home, everything was oke. No smoke, nothing. I'm little confused, that I didnt noticed it yesterday. Ok, I am a happy boy again. Thanks for feedback. Gonna check those cables. What kind of grease is used for electronic parts, to protect it from moisture?
  16. Congratulation!! Wish you best of luck and joy in many years to come. I ll donate when I get may next paycheck
  17. On my break went out and started the engine for about 5 minutes. No smoke, nothing. It's dry outside. I think I am gonna clean my cooler, there is lots of mud/sand that was in the rain. I hope it stays dry, so when I get home and there is no smoke, it was definitely water.
  18. I feel little better now. Later on I am going to check where the smoke exactly came from. I hope it was just water. Some more info is very welcom.
  19. You mean boiling, like overheated? I didnt push the engine, just my normal driving. I also didnt hear any funny noises from the engine or some other feedback from the goosey.
  20. I rode my bike this morning in the rain, going to my work. 10 miles highway, then 5 miles trough the city. In the city, when I was waiting for the green light, suddnley I saw smoke comming, or from my oil cooler or from somewhere above my cooler. It scared the shit out of me, cause I didnt know where it exactly came from. There is no oil leaking or something like that. I didnt ride in the rain before, third time on the bike. Here is a old pic. Yesterday I didnt saw any smoke and it also rained. Plzzz help. Could I ride home safely?
  21. Has anybody installed xenon on their v11? Or thought about it?
