  1. Something different: A neat trick to brighten up the weekly groceries shopping: If you have to pay f.i. € 35,59, pay with € 50,- and ask the 17 year old cashier if she needs 72 cents for easy return money... The stupid faces you get make your saturday morning
  2. I once had a very aggressive NY stock broker on the phone. I told him in Dutch he should piss off and go f*ck himself. I don't think he understood me, but he got the message.
  3. Do you really think that there are more than 5 members actually following thw GW thread? My vote:
  4. It's about 1 meter too short in height and wheelbase... it's a @#%#$ moped, that's what's wrong with it! I sat on it and my elbows were behind my ears...
  5. Posbank, there used to be an informal bike meet there every sunday-morning.
  6. I would try an english email. Most germans can read/write english, they are just a bit shy... If they answer in german redirect it to me, I'll translate it for you.
  7. Boy, that's ugly....
  8. http://www.moto-spezial.de works for me.
  9. :D I wish I had so much free time on my hands as you guys seem to have...
  10. I agree, but I think Guzzi only can have a leading role when they have a healthy customer base with the according cash flow. And another point: if they would build a bike that would sell on every streetcorner, the logistical side (deliverance, spares, dealer training, etc) would kill the brand in 6 months. I vote for nibbling away customers from other brands, try to achieve a good market share and go on from there. Who needs another worldbeater?
  11. Here's a how to: http://www.hiphopmusic.com/best_of_youtube...save_youtu.html Haven't triedit, but it's possible!
  12. Before somebody obviously beats me to it... I did some unvoluntary dike descending myself last year. BTW, there was a hitsong in the late 80's called "In the dutch mountains" by The Nits, so there must be something true in Antonio's statement. If you are interested, you can download an MP3 here: http://mp3phoenix.net/en/Song-mp3-In-The-D...untains/4776C4/
  13. The BMW crowd is a large portion of Guzzis target group, so I wouldn't be surprised if they presented a GS-type Stelvio. OTOH, pictures of it would have circulated on the net by now... Keeping things under wraps is not their strong point and I believe that is an understatement. My guess is as good as yours.
  14. Hi Jasper, You had me a bit confused; your former username was Jasper, not Jap... I remembered your Scura #, so I checked: Everything OK down under? (For those of you that don't remember: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6945 )
  15. Don't go for the Breva cases. A full size helmet won't fit...
  16. I'm glad you're so easy to please!
  17. Well, I thought it was high time to put the forum clock back in!
  18. Er....the clock's been gone for almost 3 months (!) and you're the first to notice...
  19. Hi Dave! Good to hear from you! Coincidentally we just watched our holiday pics from 2 years ago. We have said we will be back someday and it's going to happen. When? There are so much places to visit and so little time... I searched for "Stratoliner" and came up with this: Not my cup of tea, but I'll bet it's a smooth ride. Enjoy!
  20. No problem! Don't be a stranger.
  21. Jim, I have deleted all the other polls... and voted for the 916, because of its timeless beauty and design icon status.
  22. Great poll! I'll add it to the homepage.
  23. A visit to this museum has been on my todo-list for a very long time... Maybe I can combine the visit with a V11 meet somewhere in Britain.
