At the GMG in Mandello in 2006 there was an Ercole that transported two small Guzzi oldtimers. Great stuff!

FWIW. A couple of years ago we had a small Dutch bike manufacturer that produces the Track diesel all road adventure bike. With a Smart engine. Sadly it was too expensieve to become a success. They have stopped production, but they Will start up when they find investors, afaik. http://www.dieselmotorfiets.nl -
