  1. Well my plan is to be there for the 21st SSR. I was only able to get a room, albeit a 'suite". Also reserved the "almost unobtanium" 2 garage spots. If anyone has need for kitchen/fridge it'll be available for our S'SR use. Have a riding buddy who plans to show later, but at present he doesn't know which day he may arrive. Come on Cherohala!
  2. I'm down with "The Devil Went Down to Georgia. " Maybe docc can bring his fiddle to the next "Spine Raid" and play a song/dance a jig for everyone, all the while wearing his fancy hat? Ya never know, we might all join in! (I'm 4 hours closer than my previous raids but this would be an impetus to make it my 3rd attendance!)
  3. Just to note, out of interest to others, I did find what is supposedly the original fuel pump, with proper insulator, but $426 was just too much. (Edit addition 5/26) Found the same on Amazon for $154.07. Ordered, appears same as OEM with proper boot insulator/size). Will update upon receipt/comparison/install). https://www.finditparts.com/products/4474423/hella-7-dot-21287-dot-53-dot-0?srcid=CHL01SCL010-Npla-Dmdt-Gusa-Svbr-Mmuu-K4474423-L255&srcid=CHL01SCL010&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_marketing_tactic=broad&utm_paid_search_intent=vendor-brand&utm_campaign_id=21341868715&utm_ad_group_id=&utm_ad_id=&utm_platform=x&utm_placement=&utm_keyword=&utm_target_id=&utm_match_type=&utm_feed_item_id={feed_item_id}&utm_extension_id={extension_id}&utm_location_interst=&utm_location_physical=9008863&utm_product_id=4474423&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21331715424&gbraid=0AAAAAD1MMz7k9_oAlCNO_WKd-qFrOGTnT&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_8rBBhCFARIsAJrc9yDhhyVhWvnaWMJwtAhdIkYZUpnlpd1_YM47mxI3yHdRHRQphAtWoVoaAhmaEALw_wcB
  4. Well to follow up on all the troubleshooting I narrowed it down to a bad fuel pump. Size (OD) of the Quantum fuel pump was larger than the original (Pierburg Made in USA????) so the rubber isolator boot would not work. Had to use some turbo hose to get the attachment clamps to fit the pump mount properly. Kiwi-Roy schematics for troubleshooting were a lot of help, as were all the other suggestions from you guys. Thanks again!! Now the idle is running low, around 900 rpms so need to figure that out. This bike is pissed at me for moving it to another part of the state!
  5. Yeah I thought that was kinda odd, leaking at the connections. I sometimes wonder if the non-alcohol 93 octane I had always previously used (pump gas also had Valve-Tech additive in it) may have unintended side effects similar to alcohol gas. But since that's no longer available, I will instead be using 90 octane non-alcohol from a farm supply station nearby. Good point "gstallions", no sense in installing a new pump using the original/now old gas lines. Attention to detail is my rule of law (but then I still turn around to find something stupid on occasion) Will be sure to use the high pressure clamps, they are far superior to the standard worm drive clamps that cut into the rubber hose. I have had very good luck with those on other fuel injection systems. Thanks again, always appreciative.
  6. I was poking around looking at the external fuel pump and the two electrical connection points. Noted a drop or 2 of fuel come out of what appeared to be one of the electrical connections. Does not appear to be the fuel hose connected to that end of the pump. Unusual (and possibly frightening). Anyone ever noticed this and if so, any guess as to what is happening here. Would it be likely that the internal seals/lining of the pump has deteriorated due to age? I am assuming best course of action would be to just go ahead and order a new pump which is easy.
  7. Thanks for all the input guys! It still amazes me that my little problem can have such helpful technical input in very short turnaround from all across the world! Kentucky, Oregon, Maryland, Germany and Scotland. V11 LeMans is probably one of my most treasured websites. And thanks to all who keep it up and running! I'll post my cause/corrective action once it is determined.
  8. Here's the schematic I was looking at. Between Relay 5 and wire off of the ECU. Now I just have to find the pump if it is different than my '03.
  9. Great I will check it out. And thanks a bunch! I was hoping to ride to VA MG Brunch on Saturday but may have to be my red "Stallion".
  10. I'll try to keep this short and to the point. 2002 LeMans. Stock bike with very minor exceptions, as received from factory. Although sitting most of the time, I do run it occasionally (but trying not to run up mileage... I know that sounds kind of stupid but have my go-to '03 for that). In the process of moving my bikes to new home in mountains, I started '02 and rode for maybe 5 minutes before loading into the trailer. Relocated to mountains 2 days later, unloaded and tried to start '02. No start. When I energize the key, I hear the 4&5 relays cycle like normal. No accompanying fuel pump noise. (Note: Good cranking power (new 545 Odyssey), Omron relays.) All fuses checked "SAT", swapped around relays, no issues with fuses identified and normal cycling of relays noted. Swapped in spare (new) Omron relays just in case. Still no change. Would you think I have a bad fuel pump or might the issue possibly be somewhere else? (I have done my forum home work, spending a lot of time looking for similar topic posts and reviewing electrical schematics within forum posts) , but have not uncovered this specific problem but probably more my lack of using proper terms for searches.) Thanks to all in advance! Tom in VA
  11. should I edit again LOL ... for the 3rd time docc? Molested was probably the wrong word in hindsight now that it has been re-interpreted for me.
  12. Sent you a PM with photo link and ad wording
  13. CURRENTLY OFF MARKET/NOT FOR SALE Hello to all. I know eventually someone would pickup on my ad via FB or in one of the MG classifieds. Hate to let her go but with 6 motorcycles in garage it's time to thin it out a bit. Anyways, yeah it has a steep price tag on it but it is "unmolested" except for docc's suggestion of Omron relays which cured my temperamental fuse blowing problem. Also the MPH bar risers are installed as well. Gonna keep my red '03 because it's "loud and proud" and a hoot to ride. Can't really justify running the '02 hard having the 03. Besides it's completely stock, that quiet sewing machine sort of ride. Anyways, feel free to roast me on the price but I have $7500 in it, $500 shipping and a new set of tires. Otherwise it is unchanged since I purchased August 2020 except for additional enjoyable mileage over 2400 (now 5980) including a few days at the Spine Raid riding my favorite road Cherohala Skyway. (I recently purchased a Yamaha T7 Tenere in January so I have something to explore gravel/dirt roads with my buddy. I paid 12K for that OTD and have dumped another 6K plus in improving it's shortcomings. So yeah, $6900 negotiable is pretty cheap for classic Italian machinery) https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/505912985141034?ref=share_attachment https://photos.app.goo.gl/ergoERzXaEie8jiV8
  14. Currently about $84 US https://ca-cycleworks.com/pf3c.html
  15. I can say once summer is here, and the motor has its normal running heat in it, both of my LeMans (02 stock/03 exhaust mods) ping slightly under hard accel. Primarily at hard acceleration when speeds are above 60-70 mph. My 2016 Norge also does this during summer heat, and same hard accel, but this ECU has been reflashed by GuzziTech. I run alcohol free 93 octane in all my Guzzis to minimize.
  16. No problem. Think I paid Buzz at Seattle $586, not cheap, and especially since they were junk/trash when I got them back the 2nd time. I donated both gages to some guy in Canada for "an experiment" he wanted to try, rather than throw them in trash. I bought new ones (ODO in KPH) from Stein Dinse (for fraction of repair bill, roughly 140 each)
  17. Word to the wise: I would not use Buzz at Seattle Speedo. I sent him two '03. LM gauges, about 4 years ago. He took forever to get them back. They exhibited very poor workmanship once I got them back, cracked, dirty (inside!), didn't work. I complained, he said send them back and he would correct. He didn't, worse the 2nd time. Its the only time I have ever felt like I got taken for ($$$) dealing with people/businesses on the internet. Read his one star Google reviews, I wasn't the only one.
  18. Flight line, LFAB
  19. Yeah, we've PM'd a few times over the year or so. I am asking $7500 which is more in range of the Mandello/Ohlin equipped bikes. I bought this bike 2 years ago from a "collector" in Wisconsin, had it shipped to VA. Had 2400ish miles. I've run about 3k more then stopped riding. Detailed, put fresh tires on, covered and put away for a bit. Didn't want to keep running up miles, esp. since I have a red '03 to take care of the V11 fix. It's essentially flawless with a couple of very minor exceptions. Engine paint (LOL) is like factory and I treat it as such to protect. No scrubbing, no blasting, no chemicals. Only change I did make upon ownership was swap in the proper Omron relays (Thanks docc!) Does have the original MG factory rear rack. Runs like a well oiled sewing machine. Just waiting for a serious buyer who wants to deal a bit. What kind of quality bike can you buy nowadays for 7K? Not much for sure.
  20. Still unmolested and still for sale
  21. Sorry guzziart, never picked up on your question. Looks like a whopping 4.5", but oh my back appreciates it. Not sure who makes them but they are very comfortable on occasional 350-450 mile rides. (I'm about 5'-7" 5'-8" on a good day as well ).
  22. Putting "Rear drive: far right side needle cage.: on my list now. Thanks docc for the reminder. I just did brake fluid flush on my '02 clutch/brakes. The '03 is now saying "Hey, what about me!"
  23. I 2nd to the looks of great riding close by, have never focused on this part of SW VA. I would note that if they are still trucking coal on those roads it can make for a miserable day, dusty, slow and hot. However, I imagine most of that area has stopped mining coal by now. Following....
  24. Oh mate, I've still got mine, almost factory perfect as I described before. Only non-factory mod is the MPH bar risers as described in https://mphcycles.com/handle-bar-risers/. You won't find another one that looks any better and I venture to say it would be worth the trip to Virginia to see in person. New tires installed and the elusive factory rear rack included as shown in 1st three pics of google photo link. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ergoERzXaEie8jiV8
