"under-sprung and over-damped", that was part of Colin Chapman's formula for making Lotus the best handling cars on earth back in the day. Of course, developing super lightweight packages helped quite a bit as well (not part of Guzzi's formula) [emoji16]

Just installed a new set of these on my 03 Le Mans. I put them on my Scura about 8 years ago and they really make a difference. They are now discontinued, but I emailed Customer Service and they located the old V11 template and were happy to make a pair. If interested, call Customer Service at 775-783-5110. The model # is on the second photo.

From a 2003 V11 Le Mans with 12k miles. These are in good working condition and no dents. There is a small rash mark on the right side one as shown in the photo. $60 for the pair plus $35 shipping within the continental US (sorry, but it will cost at least that given weight and length). I will consider just selling one if that's all you need.

Was curious if anyone has any experience with this plug and play bit from MG Cycle. Claims to reduce popping on deceleration and improve throttle response with Mistral slip-ons installed. I'm wondering if it is an oxygen manipulator like I have on my Ducati S4R (essentially enrichens the mixture by telling the ECU the ambient air temp is colder than it actually is). Only problem is it only works in open loop, so doesn't help at idle or less than 8% throttle position/low rpm. Interesting note (but no surprise), my 03 Le Mans runs great with the Mistrals when I have the db killers installed, but I get popping and coughing at low rpm with them removed. Seems they provide just enough back pressure to make the injection and combustion happy. But if the VTwin Boost gizmo would allow me to remove the db killers and run a K&N filter with the Mistrals for a bit more air and hopefully hp, that would be worth it.

After almost 2 years of searching for a good low-mileage one, my Le Mans arrived yesterday! Bone stock, and only 12k miles. Thanks to Qtip for responding to my WTB ad. Already have the carbon fiber Mistrals ready to install today!

Was looking at these in my 2003 V11 Dealer Brochure. Has anyone ever seen these or have them on their bike? Interesting accessory.

I never understood why the Coppas had handlebars instead of clip-ons like the Scura (especially since it was supposed to celebrate racing heritage).

One quick correction - not all V11 varients automatically got the the Ohlins upgrade after a certain date, it was only certain special models such as the Scura, Rosso and Nero Corsas (and it was both front and rear suspensions). The standard V11 Le Mans for example, continued with the Marzocchis through final production.
