  1. thanks for that detail Jazza. I will be getting a set. I have purchased several items from Cal Sport Touring. Very happy.
  2. K99, is the color of the wheels stock Scura? I agree with the video suggestion. Those videos must be difficult to get accurate sound. some are ok and some are crap sounding. must be a mic thing???
  3. beautiful! more pics would not bother me a bit! ass end please
  4. wow! that's a load off. nice job.
  5. yours like these?
  6. Zoup, I've done a bafflectomy on Triumph Thruxton mufflers. Stock cans look like these. There are no bolts and no separation point. I cut them out and modified the internals. - Not easy, but they sound great. I also did the same with stock Sportster mufflers. The process (on the sporty) is often referred to as "Gronk Sportster muffler" and can be googled. Cut and remove innards - modify - replace. A good stainless steel tig welder can make it look beautiful. Some work, but again, sounds great. And cheap. Re photos... I have had pretty good luck copy-paste photos into the reply box. The one below, if it shows up haha, I copied from a random site and came back here and pasted. seems to work..
  7. (How do you guys get those photos to just appear??) copy paste that MG scrambler is wicked!
  8. And why are we still waiting for the V7 version of this type? you mean this?
  9. this looks fantastic. presumably better than original, less expensive, and one wouldn't be afraid to ride it.
  10. Nice job Kosta. Wonder if they do white faced. Thanks for the pics too.
  11. congrats Antiquar! happy to hear it. the way those little dash bulbs are pushed in there, it may just need a clean up/anti corrosive. removing the center light panel can become problematic. the crap plastic light base may disintegrate. you'll know if the cover bolts spin in place. #31 on fiche... @ Harpers http://www.harpermoto.com/parts-by-motorcycle/1990-2000-moto-guzzi-motorcycles/v-11-sport-mandello-1100-1999-2001/dashboard-en-v11-sport-mandello.html they have the bulbs too.
  12. darkness, yes..... I have some black forks I'll swap for those gold ones
  13. damn docc. well said.
  14. Zoup, if you haven't already, replace and bleed the clutch fluid thoroughly. It's not easy, as the bleeder is very unhandy. The Tenni clutch is the same as Scura and doing so helped considerably with mine.
  15. been there... done that.... same conclusion
  16. if this bike is calling out to you, you are most likely the type of rider it was built for. as others have said, there will be some fits and niggles, but mostly minor and the reward is great. price wise, that's about tops but still fair imo, depending on condition. look at other components on the bike so you get a sense the mileage is correct. one of the "fits and niggles" is a speedo and cable/drive with less than stellar reliability. Welcome, and keep us posted. Pics if you got 'em!
  17. the place looks really nice. and the garage. (2 wrenching, 1 supervisor, 2 drinking - lol)
  18. OK, this year for sure.
  19. KB - thanks, I'll put that fantasy to rest. I'm not concerned with weight, just reliability. From Agostini - Ciao John Thanks for contact us , the price for one of this clutch kit shipped to USA is 560.00 euro but in this moment is not available, the new production is scheduled for March ! Best Regards Luca - Team Agostini that be $606. US I asked but they didn't say who the mfg was. Hopefully it's RAM and MG Cycles will get a batch too. I like having someone closer and more communicative to deal with.
  20. No. Add the Griso to the garage. Don't sell the RC. Ride them both for a year. See how you feel then. At only 54 I think you'll regret giving up that awesome machine.
  21. thanks Baldini. I was hopeful that was the same kit as MG Cycles sells (except they can't get them). It seems it's not quite the same, as MG's is assembled, aligned, and ready to install... but unobtainable, of course. I read that thread some time ago, and couldn't find it again, so thanks. I will look it up. Kit's aside, and the flywheel being the problem, why can we not replace just that with a steel one? I guess I don't understand how a 1 plater FW differs from a 2 plater. Except the alloy and the part number.
  22. toofat, the mj is brass threaded with ss bolts. same battery otherwise. I put a plain 545 in 2 LM's recently. they fit just right.
  23. Is it a complete kit for swap out? How long did it take to get it? What was the cost? I have inquired with them and await a response. Just curious of your experience.
  24. if that indeed heats the battery, then it makes sense. I've known for a very long time that with flashlight batteries, and whatnot, you can squeeze a bit more juice from a low one, by heating it.
