I am interested in (undamaged of course) seat cowl, left foot peg, left mirror, clutch lever, and gauges. congrats on the score!

I know this is a stretch from the California style but I just encountered this, this evening. A very appealing motorcycle for some reason, and it is a "cruiser". The condition is just like this photo of another bike. Same all around. Nice patina. Not a 'barn in Indiana' patina, more like a SoCal or Nevada patina. I know the owner. Well maintained, runs great.
1973 850 Eldorado. Any thoughts? Things to look out for. Value range? Sorry I've strayed but this bike is so cool.

He said he has 2 on back order. One is for the shelf and one is for "the waiting man". so mine makes 3. He also said he gets their 5 speed version fairly often, so they are at least workin on stuff. I wonder what the story is on folks getting the RAM for the 5 speed. I think you can go fast, have fun, and still baby the clutch. I think mine will last till I get it replaced.

I have done the spring fix on my other LM. Dead easy after doing one already, and doing it before it breaks and is in neutral. The boss was 16.24 mm. The new updated one was 15.17... weird, so I filed it down to 14.92 - 14.98.
I rounded off the sharp edges, renewed the shift shaft seal, and finished off with 900ml of Red Line ShockProof heavy. BTW, i used Three Bond 1194, the grey, for the liquid gasket.

I'm having a similar experience. After commuting about 2 weeks straight on the LeMans, I got on the Scura and proceeded to stall it, because the clutch engaged differently (more quickly). I got used to it again in a hurry, but I am developing a real preference for the single-plate feel.
My RAM replacement is still on back order.
OK, you convinced me. I ordered a ram unit from MGCycles. He spoke to me at length re: delivery. He has no indication when he will get any. He believes RAM will eventually get around to building some, based on his many years in the moto business, and dealing with the Italians. Said it could be 2 weeks or several months. He won't charge my card till he sends mine out. So I figured why not. He did say one other person has been waiting for a few months. I take that to be you, Scud. haha lucky guy. In the meantime I will still look out for a cheap 6 speed dual plate set, just in case. Sooner or later the universe will balance.
RE: stalling the Scura.... the first time I took off on the Tenni after I got her back, and had been riding the other LM for a year, I nearly shot it out from under me. I felt like a rookie but now realize and appreciate the difference in clutch action.

I bought the Tenni new, so I wouldn't have known of the flywheel issue. I sold it and re- purchased it again and knew fully well what I was getting into. In my case, since I had sold it to a friend who treated it gently as I had, I felt comfortable enough to ride it (only had 11000 mi) for awhile till I could replace the clutch, which i have yet to do. Consensus here and other forums, I believe will indicate... 1. There is a good chance the alm flywheel will eventually break. and 2. The dual plate with steel flywheel is reliable. Conversions can and have been done, revealing both cracked, and undamaged alm flywheels. If the bike you're getting is "special" to you, and the price reflects the issue, AND you're willing to gamble and/or replace, then go for it. If not, there are plenty other sport/lemans out there with the dual plate clutch/steel flywheel.
Keep in mind, the Alm flywheel is not guaranteed to break, but something you do not want to happen as you ride.
My advice to a friend would be to replace the aluminum flywheel at some point.
As far as I know the single plater is in the Tenni, Scura, and Rosso Mandello. Which one are you looking at? Miles, history, etc. Tell us more. Got a photo? Even the Griso??

Any activity on this subject gents? Anybody get a RAM single yet or any word on getting one? The more I ride these 2 bikes back to back, the more I respect the difference. I don't want to give up on a replacement single for the Tenni. Another thought I had is regarding the aforementioned guy who does the lightened steel flywheel... If those work with a single plate system, could we not just replace the flywheel and use the rest of the oem single parts? sorry if this has been addressed and I've missed it.

ahhhh... I plan on keeping the stock clipons, as they have a built-in anti vibe that works well. I just want a heavier/prettier end weight. Throttlemeister says i can't incorporate their system with the MG stock set up.
Odd, I have Throttlemeister "heavy" units on my 02 LeMans, however I did buy them over 10 years ago so maybe they no longer make a model that fits?
I also filled my bars with lead shot and silicone
The told me they would work, but I must remove the stock internal bar and other bits, and their unit attaches in place of that. I still may do that. I can use the weights without the throttle lock on the oem set up, but I guess I want it ALL. I was impressed with the way MG did those bars. Don't want to lose it, just maybe make it a bit better. It's just possible I'm over thinking it. Does yours utilize the throttle lock? Do you remember the code/ designation/ or number for your TMeister set? (ha, I'm really pushin it)

Lock up..... I wonder if the clutch went. Either way, I wouldn't have taken on that repair job, tho someone else may, given the rarity. I hope she comes back to life someday, and the new owner checks in.

looks good. I don't like the big hard bags either, tho they do have advantages. I went with a Watershed dry bag on the rear rack. So, what bar end weights are those?

the threads are reversed. the shaft is 25mm. the threaded hole is about 2mm. pretty much a specific part.

great advice lowryter and czackky, thanks I will check that out. I've seen him out on it at functions and such, for 4-5 years or so, always running great, no smoke. Plus he's got a bike shop and is pretty meticulous with his stuff. I'll bet it's been addressed.
cola and milar, those Spada are great! one of my Guzzi books, can't remember, said they were quite rare. I recall it saying they didn't sell well, but were considered one of the best tour bikes made at the time, and one of the best Guzzi's. I'm not sure it's different enough than the LM for me, which I find is a very capable sport tourer. Except for luggage.
cola - I googled 94 spada sp3 and got the ad for yours! with a couple of nice pics.
