On MG.it site, MG describe the 1200 in Stelvio as 4V

but the 1200 in Griso as 8V :huh2:

The site also has a pic of the 1100 Griso that is supposed to be the 1200 :homer:

I suppose they finaly see the 8v wasn't fitting in history. Guzzi always named them after the valves in one head.

And on the heads is written 4v. Wrong pictutres on the guzzi site don't surprise me. Since the last revamp, more is wrong. My 10 year old daughter made better working websites.

4V per cylinder head = 8V

Yep, I know. Just wondering why they aren't consistent in how they describe the motor. Strange marketing approach, though Paul gives an explanation.

I guess it depends on how many bottles of lunchtime vino Luigi consumed before naming the bikes.

Or maybe they ran out of 8V stickers and only had 4V stickers left.

I love their amatuerisheness (is that a word?).

I wonder were they trying to play on the evocative memory of the V8, when the Griso was badged 8V?

2 sooty valves per = Blackhead

Too loose valves per = Slaphead

poor tuning = ate valves
