Alternator bolt / side stand mount

From this image (thanks @audiomick ), if the center hole is ~14mm, I get the thickness at about 1.5-2 mm . . .

Rough measure considering the angle of the view . . .

It occurred to me that the depth of the blind hole could be measured with a depth gauge and the "spacer" thickness selected to ensure the bolt length does not bottom into the hole without torquing the threads properly. Add the guessing game of how much that "toothed lockwasher" might compress . . .

Those serrated lock washers are appalling horrid things and along with spring washers I refuse to use them.

A two or three piece Nord lock or Schnoor washer is just the ticket.
