If the bracket has been bent, there is potential for damage to the attachment into the sump spacer of the smaller, bottom fastener. Inspect carefully. Also, the larger, upper fastener that threads into the timing chest is torqued to an astounding 70 Nm. Both of these fasteners tend to loosen over time and benefit from periodic checking and, perhaps, a threadlocking agent, IMCO. 3
gstallons Posted April 10 Posted April 10 That is better. is this NLA from a dealership ? Maybe someone has one and can help you out .

GU01433400 for the early Sports, 1999-2001. I get the same number for the bracket from my 2002 Parts Catalog: 01 43 34 00 When searching, sometimes the "GU" is helpful, and otherwise should be left off.
gstallons Posted April 15 Posted April 15 When you do get this in and go to put it together , lubricate the pivot w/grease . This will make it easier and last longer. 2
HadaDaytona Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I believe the Daytona and Centauro take the same kickstand. Been looking on eBay for 6 months with no luck.
gstallons Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Randy , do you still need your part for the sidestand ? If not , please post what you have done .
Cordwainer Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Definitely interested in this as well. Having the same issue, the plate bent from the upper fastener attached to the timing chest. The bolt itself broke so inside the timing chest is the body of the bolt. Thinking of welding the plate to reinforce it instead of just replacing it. Any thoughts on this?
docc Posted August 3 Posted August 3 For better discussion, this topic has been moved from the "Wanted" classifieds to Technical Topics. No doubt, the Rube Goldberg affair that serves as the V11 sidestand is a potential Achilles' Heel. The lower fastener is known to loosen and the large, upper fastener into the timing chest is to be torqued to 70 Nm. The complex mounting plate looks to be a casting (?) . . . 1

No reinforcement required if your smart enough to no sit on the bike like a muppet when it's on the side stand. Later brackets had an 8mm bolt hole instead of the 6mm hole from memory as did the sump. I don't believe Daytonas and Centies even had the lower bolt provision. They just used the upper large bolt and seemed fine. Phil Edited August 3 by Lucky Phil 2

Looks like a closed-die forging to me. This is on the list of bits I'd like to make new and maybe improved but forgings are prohibitively expensive for small quantities, and complicated enough that billet is no better. Sooner or later I'll have one loose to have examined and quoted. 1
PhillipLarsen Posted Wednesday at 04:08 AM Posted Wednesday at 04:08 AM If ever getting new ones made, consider that for those with a Roper Plate installation it needs to be modified to accommodate the thickness of the plate and additional gasket. 1
