  1. >Well Guys, like I said I struggle with the webby stuff and spent a half hour emailing/downloading/downsizing/creating an album blahblahblah then the tech tells me I can only send so many bits of data - Doh to quote your man Homer-so ye are gonna get a one off snap of a very special Griso based machine snapped in Stafford Show UK a few weeks back - the builder whose name I didn't get is standing behind the beasty. Its bedtime here so I will have another go tomorrow at sending on a snap or two of my V11 Le Mans rumbling around an old Irish road race venue that now hosts a recreation of the old event, last held in 1967. The Stafford Show is well worth a visit if you happen to be going to the UK in either April or October as it runs twice yearly and all sorts of odd things surface there.

  2. Wow that was quick - Im trying to setup an account with these guys you recommend - $11 dollars for a year seems cheaper than a lollipop. Will be doing my best to master the tech. Grazie again Locky

  3. Nope, a Jackal is a California built to a price. Single front disc, no integrated brakes, adjustable suspension, tubeless wheels, etc. What it is.. is a blank canvas. A fine bike in it's own right.

  4. Yah, probably 500cc. Moto Guzzi made those from 1921 through the '70s! Left side has an exposed flywheel giving them the moniker "bacon slicer," a term I frankly find rather unbecoming. But not as disparaging as "pork chops" , which I find just ugly for our magnificent, even voluptuous, V11 Frame Side Plates.

  5. Finally got to check out the Wildguzzi Jackal thread. That bike looks great with the T3 style tank. I love that tank. So, would you say a Jackal is a California Lite?

  6. That pad will be fine. I thought the same. I discovered they can pop off if you need to clean under it.

  7. Docc, can your "recipe" of features still be had when ordering those? I want to get a set.... just like yours. I've seen them and they are superb. I want to see them in motion!

  8. If you have no luck I can get a set from a rosso mandello (black with footpegs) from here in Japan. I have no idea of the quality but look good in the pictures. The paint could be faded and chipped though and rubber is how you would expect for the age Cost about 150 US dollars plus shipping. No idea how much shipping is. Look in better shape than the ebay one

  9. I was stricken by the same curiosity. Here's an old thread from Wild Goose I think you'll like https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=46890.0

  10. I just scrolled 35 pages of ebayUS for ya, buddy. I think ya owe me a beer, already. Maybe Dramamine . . . Found a right side on page 19 that kept me goin' for a while longer. That's a seller in Florida with an 8700 mile 2001 Sport apart. I got a nice set of throttle bodies from them, but had to send the sketchy reardrive back. Professional outfit, though, and I found this after clicking on the right side listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport-Rear-Left-Passenger-Foot-Peg/382918145903?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D60695%26meid%3D014b614a706f40ebb6193110965afb49%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dsb%26sd%3D382919774820%26itm%3D382918145903%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

  11. The chin-pad is a vestigial structure that harkens back to the design inspiration for the V11 Sport, the 1949-51 Guzzi race bikes (Gambalunghino). In those days, the racers would "chin the tank" to get out of the wind for those few extra mph . . . My chin-pad is still in pretty decent shape after all this time. Not sure how to "restore" or maintain it (?)

  12. Had the same after some time in rainy weather. It's always nice to read about people making miles although it rains
