  1. Basically, I just need to cover this distance . . . . . . on my Sport. Between 15 March and 12 September. Even if I end up in Tellico Plains, Tennessee/USA and not actually Mandello del Lario.

  2. Don't disagree about no EDP, and I'm not overly fond of all new Guzzis these days, but some of the V7 and V85 line are, IMO, mighty fine machines. My Stornello (a II) and III are delights to ride ... and way easier on my aging body when doing the Rubik's Cube routine in the Moto Grappa! 1921 - 2021! Bill

  3. Semantics!🤣 I tend to think of a 'Widget' as something more like a sensor fooler or some other such piece of garbage.

  4. I like the Stornello as well, especially the red frame with the Arrow pipe. Fine machines indeed. Owning a Guzzi without passion for Guzzi can sometimes be, as with anything else, an onerous affair. Or as stated in my '65 Honda riders manual, the result of neglected maintenance could "chase you from riding further"

  5. It's on the Tenni and believe it's factory wiring. Possibly the diagram being for '04 and Tenni being '02 is the diff. Or maybe a mistake on the diagram. Or maybe they used a different switch in mine. It is a Guzzi after all. The clutch safety switch and r/r only come together in my 'event scenario'. I'm referring to my breakdown at SSR16 and subsequent diagnosis of a dead R/R. As we've discussed, the R/R is susceptible to heat and age. The location on the Tenni is the worst! Laid high and flat and behind the oil cooler. With the start button not working, I had my gear off, seat off, tools out, relays, manual out, starter cover off, etc.. experimenting ...looking for a start problem.. and the thing starts up! Afraid to turn it off, I reassemble everything as fast as possible. Probably took 7-10 min to get rolling, on a hot day... 2 minutes into the ride, the light comes on, never to charge again. Seems like a perfect storm to destroy a R/R. I'm using language from the diagram re: clutch switch connectors #60

  6. Well if you can work a computer at a basic level you can work Tunerpro and Guzzitech. The 15M ecu is 20 year old technology. I'm 62 and learned it from scratch. The same way people tuned carburated engines, except easier AND you can simply load the many, many free maps other people have developed over the last 20 years for FREE in 30 seconds. All those map resources can be downloaded on the web or emailed to you. Ludditeism is no excuse, if you want to get an efi bike running well you need to commit to learning some very basic computer skills. Tuning on the dyno is the ultimate to get the last 5% or so but even then you tweak the maps based on how it actually feels to ride. The dyno sheet doesn't always represent what actually feels best on the road at normal speeds and throttle inputs which is where you spend 99% of your riding time. Ciao

  8. That's a great plan, Bill! It turns out Mandello del Lario's September celebration is at the same time as our Seventeenth South'n Spine Raid. Beginning on March 15 (next week), the anniversary of Moto Guzzi's incorporation, I intend to celebrate the centenary with each kilometer I ride the Sport as I reach for 200.000, then culminate in our celebration at the SpineRaid . . . Saluti, Moto Guzzi!
