  1. If Scud doesn't get back to you shortly, I have one. There's really no need to get two.. Oh, and if you feel the need, I have six Lucky Phil Shifter Extenders from the Absolutely Last LPSE run left.

  2. New to the forum and amazed by the depth of knowledge and generosity in sharing of information. I have a 2004 Cafe Sport which has been largely trouble free fortunately. We are planning some longer trips this year so I’m spending some time on this forum and making sure I’ve addressed as many potential problem areas as possible. I wasn’t aware of the spring issue so I’d be interested in ordering a couple of yours to have on hand for our trip. If there are still some available? Is it inevitable that the original spring fails in your experience? I have about 40,000 km on the bike. Thanks in advance! Gary

  3. Well under heavy braking I be nervous rear ending the vehicle in front of me… and gouging out a couple of bloody ice cream scoops of inner thigh from those aero wings as I’m catapulted forward sliding along the tank! I know they call ‘em aero’s but to me they look like gidji prongs

  4. Thanks mikev and docc. Tapatalk doesn't seem to like your links, so will have to do from my laptop when I get home tonight. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

  5. Splitting hairs: the manufacturer would most likely say that the spec. sheets support the claimed rating. We can only trust the spec. sheets, or not. Nevertheless, they both seem to be at the top of the range that I have seen for "high current" relays. "Bigger" ones, i.e. 40 A. or more, seem to jump to a 9.3 mm blade on the load connections (30 and 87/ 87a), so they wouldn't fit in the sockets. I like the Picker a little better, because the NC contact claims a higher rating (25A. vs 20A, both @ 14V). The "vibration resistance" spec has a higher number next to it (2.7mm double amplitude), but I don't know if that is relevant to our application.

  6. Wow…what fun to see!! Out on the Scura, met a friend with a new Toy! Very tidy, efficient looking and gorgeous bike! Great to see one in person…am I envious? Just a little bit!! Scura running like a charm, very spirited 140 miles today and clocked 41 mpg…quite happy with that! Of course…I’m not selling the Scura!!

  8. The only single plate clutches/ aluminum flywheels are the 2001 Rosso Mandello, and 2002 Scura and Tenni. The Café Sport is a Coppa Italia in a grey flannel suit with a black Fedora . . .

  9. As far as I know, Al.. none have failed. They shouldn't, of course. They are well into the "safe travel" area.

  10. Yes - I still have plenty of springs. Boxing a few today for shipment this week. Sorry, but I've been busy with various other stuff. Haven't even been on a decent ride for 2 months.

  11. Loc-tite makes a thread repair kit they call Form-a-Thread. I've not used it before, but it may be worth a try. (in addition to longer bolts if possible. Edit - I see you already sealed it. There are lot of bolts on the cover, so chances are that the sealant and the ones you can get to proper torque will do the job.
