Woah, before you buy a new regulator, how about cutting out the bad connector, and crimping the wires. A bad connector doesn't mean you have a bad regulator

This happened on my 2010 MG V7, replaced the connector, kept the old regulator, been good ever since.

  2. Pedro Acosta could be a threat, although not always do Moto2 and 3 winners make the transition well.

Lorenzo commenting on Marquez' obsession with VR46 is rich. Both are dead to me after the 2015 season. I can't believe Dorna didn't condemn those two. As far as I'm concerned VR46 has 10 titles!

  3. I watch all of MotoGP on Sling, CNBC (news channel, I know, strange). It's only an additional $6 on my Sling package. For some reason, IndiaGP didn't air, or record or something, so frustrating! I only watched highlights on youtube. Looked like a  good race and my fave, #33BB did a great job again!

  4. Having owned a V7 since 2012, I hung out at WildGuzzi mostly. I tried Guzzitech as well, but a few know-it-alls repeatedly pissed me off. I still visit from time to time.

Todd, who runs GuzziTech is really the premiere Guzzi Guru. He's been at it a long time and has invested more time and money into them than any other private party I know.

Any way to lube that stuff when its out? I have always used DriSlide for cables, still have a can from the 80's with a bit in it. To my surprise, they still sell it today. Good product.

You sure can. I placed grease in each gear drive, as well as a few drops of lube into the cable.

  6. I recently chased similar problems. Upon reassemble with new parts, it still did not work …then it did.

It seems they lock into each other rather obvious, but I repeatedly didn't have them fully engaged, thus not working. I ended up replacing both 60° gear units and the cable during my troubleshooting, it was actually the speedo-side gear that was broken. Keep at it, you'll figure it out.

  7. Okay, after getting off the exit from my drive to work today, I filled up and it took 5.6 gallons at 206 miles. I filled with Premium.

I'll learn more on my 25 mile drive home, but cruising the 2 miles from the gas station to my office, I'll say it was better as it would normally ping (sounds like change rattling) when I punch it. It didn't do it after my fill-up. I'll try it a few more times on the freeway home, when it's hot outside too.
