  1. classic countries classic bike classic storytelling thank you
  2. there is 'no room' on the V11 either, but the clamp is so narrow that you can compress the grip just enough so it is a snug & solid fit. That's all I did, no cutting etc whatsoever. Let me know if you need more photos / info...
  3. I guess you did'nt like these then... They allow you to keep the bar end weights as well. n_s_S!
  4. now hang on guys... "2nd gear clutchless wheelie..." review the 'photoshop pics' wording is a play on words...as in unbelievable otherwise.
  5. Hey Auldy, another Scura in Sydney aye... sorry to hear about your troubles, I am almost in permanent fear of all the stuff that can go wrong (with any bike really), but I gotta say I have a smile each time I ride. I really should check that gearshift boss diameter. (can that be done without pulling much apart?) I'll keep an eye out for ya mate, if you see me ( pic ) yell out n_s_S!
  6. good to see so you are happy with your quat-d ? I was going to order them - looks great - less weight - but from the soundfiles it just sounds sort of 'tinny' if you know what I mean, I don't want to lose that nice deep sound from the carbon fiber cans. Anyway , enjoy!
  7. In Australia, you would get over $10K US, strange aye...
  8. Dave, If you're still reading (& still going) all the best & thanks for being part of the club for a while. You don't need to justify anything, buying or selling. I was prompted to respond however by overhearing a highly enthusiastic conversation yesterday where a guy exclaimed: "& I got this huge headshake as I completed that corner past the campsite, 2nd time this month - $#@&ing awesome man!" to him, it was a cool story, bikes are like that, the ride can always tell a tale. I hope you remember the good times, & have plenty more on your existing & future bikes. n_s_S!
  9. They aim of KTM designs is to be 100% unmistakably KTM, look at the single cylinder Duke & you will know what I mean... Fox: open up that trading post or go to bikepoint.com.au , a few dealers in Sydney have them, wait 1 more month & there will be a few at Rockdale. "paint the world orange" n_s_S!
  10. even through that helmet, I can see you smiling great pictures too , hat's off to your photographer the bike looks great, on the track, in your living room , anywhere.
  11. took a ride on a 990 SuperDuke.. FAAAAAAAAAAARRK!!! from average rider to stunt legend...well that's what I'm gonna believe I reckon the men from Mattighofen have really got it together over in Austria land
  12. Good reporting Paul Do I need to learn Itallian to read about your bike in Bicilindrica? It looks interesting.
  13. Hi , I have pictures of my CRG mirror in this post: mirrors while keeping the bar ends

  15. 3 inch! don't rip yourself off that extra inch cool story about the CX too.
  16. You had a Amstrad...in the US? That would be rare! How about this: Amiga 1000 with the original engineer's signatures! OK I had a Tandy too, but my mum got it for me so it did'nt count
  17. I love it! Bringing the old Amiga out now, wait I have an Amstrad...oooh looky here, a commodore C16!
  18. yeah, & did'nt Aprilia pay like 75 mil? or was that the asking price initialy. you know it's strange but the historic name, that means so much to so many could also be what means so little to so many more.... now bear with me.... not just a name change, how about a NEW label, moto....umm...moto.... mmmoto ..... alright fuckit...Moto Guzzi it is ! motoGP! (is the ! enough to keep out of trouble)
  19. sure no problem, I have duplicate of everything carbon fiber in the picture, just give me a delivery address & I'll send it on...favour for a forum member
  20. yep, did'nt want to ditch the bar end weights either,m bat wanted bar end style mirrors. so went the CRG route.
  21. On the island as big as Nth America, the Scura has proved to break through the impossible. Riders on ALL typs of bikes give the nod, previously the KTM Duke had the drawcard (except for the Harley crowd...off course). But now the Guzzi even gets the nod from them too... With regards to your cafe set...when they finally ask you "hey don't you have a goose as well? where is it?..." just say "fucketshouldabeenhere" - yep that's one word in Australia. n_s_S!
  22. err , that's why you click on the other link but in summary: "... I think the best thing about the Ohlins suspension is how it looks...." "...So it should be clear to you that this motorcycle has plenty of flaws..." "...So you should be surprised to find out that this is absolutely my favorite motorcycle I've tested at MO so far. I really love it...." that's a Guzzi comment alright n_s_S!
  23. sorry, got all excited. state of the Guzzi...
  24. I am not responsible if you go 'postal' with this! ----------- State of the Guzzi **Or** "What, your motorcycle only has one neutral?" By Gabe Ets-Hokin Moto Guzzi? Moto who? If you've been riding motorcycles for any length of time, you've probably seen one or two of these unique machines, usually owned by the kind of guy who likes 1970s Saabs. They are known mostly for being quirky to the point of distraction, oddly engineered motorcycles that only appeal to those who like Moto Guzzis. Have things changed? Read Gabe's State of the Guzzi report and find out! http://news.motorcycle.com/article.motml?sid=3094 ------------- or here: state of Guzzi review if no access.
