    Alternatives to a V11

    ;-)
  2. Both sold in 2011. I sold mine successfully for a very good price via mobile.de in Germany. My friend Lutz sold his RC to the moderator of the German V11Sport.de forum (Roland) My bike since 2011: Griso 8V Lutz´ new bike since 2014: BMW R9T (He is 2,02 m tall and always had problems with his knees and the cylinders on a Guzzi).
  3. Yes! My best friend and I both owned a Rossa Corsa at that time. We almost made the same modifications.
  4. Hi all, I have just uploaded a slideshow of my (ex) Rosso Corsa to YouTube: My RC won the "Bike of the Month" award, when Jaap started this feature ;-)
  5. The new 4:3 version is online: This is so damn funny ... "Silicone Implants on a Granny"
  6. @ Luhbo: Yes this is really a sad story. I was not aware of John´s abduction and being misused by IS. Maybe he is still alive. Hopefully somebody has to pay to for all the suffering IS brought about humanity. They should all rott in hell.
  7. Hi Dave, I have never captured this video. This was done by one of the forum members from the UK years ago. In 2005 Ken ("kenr") sent me a DVD with a DivX file as far as I can remember... okay I couldn´t remember but the messenger here does
  8. Dave you are right! The aspect ratio was wrong. I have converted it to 4:3 (without losses) and I am uplaoding it right now (takes a while). Looks much better now I can recommend this software: http://www.xmedia-recode.de/en/index.html
  9. Hi guys, ok the thread is a bit old ... ;-) I have uploaded this video to my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/janguzzi It is really sad to read what happened to one of the moderators: John Henry Cantlie
  10. Hi Gregg, it´s really easy. These "socks" have a velcro strip - no removal necessary: Traxxion
  11. (Termi sold, see updated posting above) Current look of the bike:
  12. THAT is the new 1400 ccm engine: thread on guzzitech.com It will be used in the new California 1400
  13. Hi Pete, thanks for this info. I guess the dealer is updating the map and re-setting the TPS, but this is just guessing. I must admit that I am a little bit frustrated that this solution does not work out of the box. So don´t trust the the Moto Guzzi brochure, it´s not telling the truth. ... and I like the sound of the stock muffler better.
  14. I also tried the Termignoni for the Griso 8V. But it does not work with the 2011 models out-of-the-box (more noise but less torque WITH db-eater). My dealer said it is possible by adjusting the injection but I am not willing at the moment. They did this successfully on another 2011 model. Update: The other 2011 Griso at the dealer got a customized Rexxer mapping Just sold my Termi: After all I am not sure if my bike already has the 68 map. At the first service my dealer told me that the bike has the latest map installed but he was not sure about the version number. But with the current map and the original exhaust my 2011 A8 Griso just runs fine. I am waiting now until Däs Mototec has a complete Griso 2011 (A8-engine) exhaust solution ready.
  15. @orangeokie: THANKS! First modifications: I added a "Shocksock" Traxxion Dynamics Shock Sock - 8" ordered at Reactive Suspension (http://www.reactivesuspension.com/accessories.php), Däs/Kellermann rear end: (with supporting strut and 1 mm alu plate) Kellermann turn signals with Däs adaptors: The Kellerman turn signals should be ordered at Däs. These are customer-specific versions, which are not glowing when ignition is switched-off!
  16. Thanks Jaap! :-) The 2011 version of the Griso 8V really runs smoothly, no missing midrange torque. You can accelerate from 2000 rpm in the 6th gear without any problem.
  17. Hi Belfast, the factory setting is on the 3rd ring, one ring higher than yours. (it´s 15,5 mm measured from the top)
  18. The most impressive curves with the fully monty: - New cams - Open air box cover - BMC air filter - Power Commander V - BOS 2-1 exhaust
  19. No never but I was told (by two dealers) that Guzzi also changed the Griso for more midrange torque. They should have changed the camshafts + ... (?) DÄS Mototec in Germany now offers camshafts with huge midrange torque improvements: direct link
  20. Maybe take the carbon version?
  21. Brand new (2011 model)! The dash cowl/mirrors/handlebar are black now. Question: Did anyone make something similar like the "Edge Gard" to protect the rear shock? I really do not like the looks of the solutions from Skidmarx & Stucchi.
  22. Maybe a modern Guzzi makes you look younger... In ten years it will also be an old one when all others are driving bikes with electrical engines.
  23. Hi all, after selling my V11 Le Mans Rosso Corsa & my 950S I decided to go for ONE modern Guzzi. I already felt in love with a Griso in 2005 when I did a testride with the Griso 1100. Question: Did anyone make something similar like the "Edge Gard" to protect the rear shock? I really do not like the looks of the solutions from Skidmarx & Stucchi.
