  1. having lived a good part of my life abought military bases i see the authorities point. the expensive to train personel wipe there selves out at rates much higher than the general populace. i've allways thought it was down to tax free alcahol. they should wear the orange overalls possibly or not be allowed on the roads at all. and take orders as they swear they do. and be prepaired to die under orders. and not on the roads.
  2. i'd say nothing to do with the powers. i'm running them on front[roads on rear] had bt 014 and 020 previous. and not one flat ! on my other bike [muz] i run bt 45's [not exactly soft] 2 punctures in 20,000 k .screw and gutter bolt. it's murphys law...
  3. sounds to have been excellent trip fantastic photos. ride safe.
  4. i'm sure that testicle thing would hurt..have fond memories of hitching ride home with english teacher at 12 years..he would allways pull the magic ton for me and me mate along straight near home. we were impressed with doing 100 mph and how smooth the ride was. it was in the 60's[ and the average car of that time was less than impressive. we allways loved getting a lift in his jaguar straight six. quote name='Frenchbob' date='Jul 29 2006, 08:27 PM' post='96408] Oh dear! I've never had my testicles smashed flat with a wooden mallet, although ownership of an elderly Audi 100 some years ago must have been a close experience in terms of pain. I have to admit that my Jag was built after Ford management made them sort of reliable. It does do 27mpg on a good day [4.0 litre six], and it seems to be a good one [i.e. mechanically OK even if the electrics throw a wobbly now and again and bits of trim occasionally fall off]. Ownership of Italian bikes tells you I have masochistic tendencies. At the end of the day, I just like driving it, I didn't pay too much for it, and I don't take it too seriously..........my serious car is an old FIAT

  6. be warned here! you are dealing with possibly the most complex clutch-clutch's clutchless ever fitted to one single vehicle in the whole world.
  7. FOR HOW MANY YEARS! must one read one book. before it's understood. start a new read..
  8. i totally agree nogs. prohabition has never worked ! what is this bullshit democracy when one can be severely penalised for simply riding ones motorbike at speed which one is quite confident with and very well experienced with. those who choose to do this pissed or stoned or inexerienced become mere statistics and soon forgoten as such. i for one am sick and tired of being told that it is for the benefit of all. the last time i was nearly wasted was by a dear old lady in a 50 kmh zone, just as well i was on the ball returning from a ride where at times was over 180kmph but encountered danger in a 50 zone. i say legalise all. after all heroin has never been a problem for me.
  9. good to see paranoia is still alive and well in the good old god fearing [in god we trust u.s.a] as long as we are well armed. just don't be of midle eastern appearance if you aproach the front door for christian help.

interesting that mick doohan said of pedrosa when he joined the big time..quote. he'll struggle with his low weight and small size on the bigger bikes. guess he's been proved wrong.

a good race from the lounge a good win by hayden, and a exceptional ride to second by pedrosa after a couple of mistakes. i felt sorry for vermulan a valiant effort but let down by machine problems. casey showed again he has the talent, but still has a lot to learn. i don't know what KR's problem may have been if any bar just cant cut it. i thought it totaly out of norm to have three machines expire in one race in moto gp of late.. but then again it was in merica....pharlap.. les darcy..etc. it is certainly much more dificult now for rossi and even more so for hopper.
