Hi Gerold and "welcome"...my childhood motorcycle memories revolve around a leather jacketed hoodlum type astride a fishtailed Harley. But I never did buy a H-D.
I'm content to be a leather clad hoodlum astride my M-G.
BTW..loved your introduction. You speak better English than half of California
PM sent re the valve covers. Joe
Hi Vlad....nice looking ride. The pipes look great and I really like the red wheels. Not to forget the beautiful hugger (private joke there).
Check/eliminate the tip-over valve before the suction damages your tank.
Hi Bob...thanks Yes that is the (formerly) leaking tank. Took a plastic welder to it and it is now as solid as a rock.
I did post a couple of other photos in the Post a Picture forum:

No the Coppa tank, along with all the other Coppa bodywork is squirreled safely away in my attic.
Actually I took a liking to the Coppa tank as I think it looks very nice w/o the other Coppa bits. I may eventually paint the Coppa fairing and seat cowl, but never the gas tank which I think is a piece of Italian art.
Dont worry, its safe enough.
Im interested in converting my Coppa Italia to a LeMans
Obviously the bodywork will need to be swapped and that is simple enough. I'm sure there is some bracketry associated with the LeMans fairing which should also be fairly simple. Ditto for the handlebars.
But beyond the bodywork and bracketry, will I need to be concerned with other bits such as the headlight? Headlight brackets? Anything else?
I apologize if this has already been discussed. If so, a pointer to the thread would be appreciated.
Sounds like you work with a bunch of fools.
You might point out that they do indeed make provisions for you to ride there.
In fact they have provided you with parking areas dedicated specifically for motorcycle parking.
Further they require to park in those spaces.
Further they provide the mandatory-use parking gate. This is a part of their facility which they provide for all employees using the parking areas, including the motorcycle dedicated spaces. This parking gate created the unsafe condition which directly caused your injury.
For the sake of all motorcyclists everywhere, rise up in rebellion. Or maybe not.
Good luck. Best keep a level head, no sense throwing out the baby (your job) with the bathwater.
Thanks all.
Ryland3210, I noticed that you signature states that you are interested in anything electrical. I envy you 'cause to me electrics is from another planet where they speak foreign languages and such.
Is the "Temperature Controller" offered by Gerbing energy efficient?
I also noticed that you removed your Cafe Sport's fairing and photo'ed it in profile. It looks very nice much like my Coppa sans fairing.
I've had several sets of heated grips, but have heard that gloves are much more effective (?)
So I've narrowed my search to these two gloves. Both are non-bulky so as to allow necessary bar-feel. Hopefully, someone here can comment on either of these, or any other electric glove...please

Ben....are you running for political office?
But if youre interested in a seat check here:

Hi Slug....glad to hear that youre OK.
Similar thing happened to me about 2 years ago. Hit a 4 x 4 piece of wood on freeway overpass on my VFR. I bounced about a foot off the seat....I was only going about half your speed. Hate to think what wouldve happened at 50 mph
Anyway, glad you were wearing the GEAR and gladder still that youre relatively unscathed.
Hi Greg...Great story.
But the part about Pedro having to fight the bear was a little frightening! And that gruesome picture... it still gives me chills!
These were taken from a 01 V11 Sport when I went to taller handlebars. They should fit any early model V11 Sport with the stock clip-ons.
Included are 4 banjo bolts (stock).
$30 each, plus shipping
$50 both, plus shipping from Modesto, CA 95350
My experience with Throttlemeister is that the surface is smooth and is hard to grip to loosen/tighten.
Kaoko makes a similar product, but with a knurled grip, and they were very customer friendly...even offered to make a custom one for my Ducati.

Looking to find just one headguard made/sold by Pacific Sport Cycle. They are kind of oversized, black anodized and have a "cut out design".
Will post a photo in future, but hoping for help in meantime.
Right. With the stock rim it has a 180 mounted, so I guess a 170 might work. Some forum members have gone to the narrower rear wheel to allow an even narrower 160 (?) tire.
