  1. I think I'll paint my V-11's gas tank brown. Hmmm, maybe even add some wood panelling In '71 I almost bought a Triumph Spitfiire, but the only color the dealer had was brown...but it was kinda cool now that I think about it. Now where is my paint gun

    Trade

    Carbon fiber hugger
  3. I SHOULD be the winner, since mine is the first response..... A carbon fiber hugger is what I would like SH to send me.
  4. If its FREE I'd like to have it...but I already have one. Can you send me something else instead? Thanks.
  5. Sell? Trade? Can I steal it from you?
  6. Thanks all...the deed is done, all ~1300cc s of it. I'll mix the remainder in a beer or two
  7. Hi Al...good to see youre still kickin. I know what you mean about Volvo wagons. My 960 damn near drove me to bankrupcy. Hope it all works out for you. Come on back to California and I'll buy you a burger at Alice's. And a beer too!
  8. Warmed it up and drained both. The magnetic plugs looked not too fuzzy. Judging from the amount of fluid that came out, I think I'm gonna need some more. We'll see tomorrow. For those of you, unable to sleep and waiting with bated breath for the answer, I will post it tomorrow.
  9. I figure the trannie will take about 740 cc. Will the rear trannie box take more than the remaining ~200 cc...or do I need to buy another 946 cc (1 US quart) of this miracle drink? BTW on page 164 of my MG owners manual the "level plug" is listed as the "filler plug" and vice-versa...Hmmm, makes you wonder what Guido drank for lunch before writing the book.
  10. I have a set of these on my 04 Coppa. They are a nice addition and bolt right on. No affiliation with seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Aprilia-sxv...sspagenameZWDVW
  11. What a land Antonio must live in...the most beautiful motorcycles on the planet...AND, the most beautiful language in the world I'm envious...
  12. He must have us mistaken for someone else...thats all I can think of Welcome aboard Joe...

    Gel Seats

I'm looking to have a gel seat built for my V11. But I'm concerned because several of my Ducati friends who have had gel seats have been unhappy with them because of the heat retention of the gel material. Here in Central California the summers reach into the 100s and the direct sunlight on a standard seat produces only a brief period of discomfort. I've been told the gel retains that heat much longer and thus the discomfort period is lenghtened. AND...during the winter months (thirties to forties) does this mean that I'll be sitting on an ice cube for the first 5-10-30 minutes of my ride? Any comments from gel seat owners would be appreciated.
  14. If anyone is interested in swapping YOUR 5.5 rear wheel fror MY 4.5 rear wheel...PM me.
  15. Price seems right. Most heated grips Ive used seem to have too large a diameter which has been a put-off for me. Any experience with these? Or any other recommendations? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OXFORD-Heat...sspagenameZWDVW
  16. I used a set of Cycle Cat 53mm risers on my 01 V11 Sport and had them enlarged to 54 mm. Only a reduction of .5 mm in thickness which I didnt worry about. Not to say that the Ducati risers would necessarily work (they may). The Cycle Cats worked because the other dimensions were okay.
  17. Uuuuuuhhhmmm. Thanks, I was interested in the 180 version in the first pic. The above 200 version doesnt even have thighs or legs. Her tiny ankles and feet are attached directly to...well, lets just forget the whole introduction thing
  18. Ratchethack....can you pllleeeeeease introduce me to your friend. My intentions are purely platonic and honorable, I assure you. OMG. Where do they make women like that?
